Wait. An 80% infidelity rate among relationships overall? The reported rates are around 20 to 25% for men and around 20% for women (and increasing) but those are self reported.

I think it's higher than those figures; probably more like around 40% for both. But I don't think it's 80%. Men and women are good at covering their tracks nowadays, but they're not THAT good at it. If that really were the case, there'd be infidelity all over the place, and a lot more people would be getting caught.

I do agree with this: All women have the capacity for cheating. If you don't think she would ever cheat on you, you're nuts. Right man, right time, right circumstances, low risk of detection, and her current man is faltering? The odds of cheating just went way, WAY up.

The only thing a man can really do to combat this is to be high value himself. Keep lifting, keep making bank, keep being awesome and powerful. Then if/when she cheats and it goes south, you end it and find another woman to fuck.

Long story short, cheating is part of the fabric of relationships. Most people don't want to be alone. Being alone is essentially AM. Most people do not have AM. So most people, even if they're not honest with themselves create opportunity, see how the branch feels, then leave. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of game and TRP principles. A man who is truly a man does not worry about cheating, not because he accepts that it's probably going to happen, but because he (a) has an unstoppable frame, and (b) has options as a result of (a). Cheating does not have to be part of the fabric of relationships. When it is, it is because there is something lacking on one of its halves.

This entire post seems to attempt to enforce the idea that someone like Brad Pitt can simply look at a woman and have her in his bed by the end of the night. That's not at all how this works. First of all, if you believe that, you're glorifying another man and projecting an inferiority upon yourself. Secondly, you have completely missed the boat when it comes to rapport and its importance in preventing cheating. Men who project alpha principles but then fail to follow up with rapport will not be able to sustain long-term relationships -- if that's their goal. With the right amount of displays of alpha qualities, coupled with the right amount of beta behavior, the girl simply will not leave you for a one-time fling with a Brad Pitt.

I just got out of an LTR with a beautiful, smart woman. I was her alpha male. I had the alpha/beta balance down to a T. Not once did I ever consider the idea that she would cheat, and I know she didn't. Had I always been thinking about her potential to cheat, it would only have revealed my own insecurities. You can go on to live a healthy, happy life in a great relationship with a girl if you improve yourself to the point of your maximum potential, where worrying about this is just stupid.

I live under the premise that anything can happen. AWALT means they can all potentially cheat but also they all respond to the same shit.

In any interaction with a woman whether she is an LTR or a plate or a friend, I always see if interaction with her makes my life that little bit better. If that value she offers me is counteracted by anything else she goes. That usually keeps a woman on her toes because you are constantly evaluating what she puts on the table.

If she goes, I am still going to be great... If she cheats... I am still going to be great.... An LTR is good, probably better than the random women you slept with or had as plates and that's why she is an LTR... But she is by no means irreplaceable.
