Daenery's is the most Mary "Rey" Sue character I've ever seen. She can absolutely do NO WRONG! Even when she's in a precarious situation, it always just magically turns around for her. That's absolutely never the case with say Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Jon Snow, The Lannisters or everyone else on that show who has suffered major fucking setbacks at some point. She's the epitome of what feminist want to be. Never really work for anything and have everything great happen to them at the drop of a hat and never actually fail at life or suffer any serious set backs. Live by a bunch of made up titles no one actually gives a shit about. Ride on Alpha cock Khal Drogo or smarmy, witty rogue Daario multiple times while friend zoning the shit out of blue pill Ser Jorah, lord of the orbiter. Also having a bunch of weak ass people worship her like she's the greatest thing on Earth since slice bread. The feminism is strong within this one.
Cersei is the epitome of a real life example of any woman who gets into power. Terrible mother, horrible sense of judgement, awful personality, not logical in the slightest manner, a fucking cunt, always fucking up, wants to be included in all the men activities, abuses her position, no leadership qualities and completely fucking helpless when she doesn't have people to depend on or her family name and title to back her up. Never her fault and can never own up to her mistakes either.
Margarey Tyrell is a better example of how a woman back then would actually exist. Clever, manipulative, has charm, knows how to use men and feign ignorance and intelligence. Understands the social roles between men and women and how to play the positions when it needs to be played. Very similar to Cleopatra; knows how to play the game very well.
Arya is somewhat okay in my book. She fucks up quite a bit and usually pays for her mistakes but I can get down with her attitude. Maybe when you compare her to the first two above, it's just much easier to deal with. She's been introduced to some real life concepts and is actually learning and grow from it. The girl power is still there though.
Sansa doesn't piss me off as much as it does most people because I can logically look at her character and see how the evolution could happen. Just like every girl; dumb, naive, fucking helpless, has to take shit every where she goes. In a way she reminds me of how Daenerys was in the beginning of the series before all the Mary Sue shit started happening. The difference is Sansa (Like all Starks) has suffered so much over the course of the few seasons, she's been with every terrible person you can think of as well exposed to the greatest houses with key figures in Westeros. Lannisters, Tyrells, Boltons, Littlefinger... all who have the best and worst minds that any person could have. If you've been around the best and worst mother fucka's for years and you don't somehow change and grow as a person, I don't know what to tell you. Many people on this reddit page should understand this.

The writing has gotten much worse which is why it seems that way, because it's easier to tie plot lines together with shitty dialogue 'girl power' (and other shitty dialogue) than it is to actually be clever and write something original and unsuspecting which GRRM usually does. The show's writers have veered off course from the books and it clearly shows. Especially surrounding Danaerys' story. She's the most one dimensional character at this point and portions of her story don't keep the same pace, it's either full warp speed ahead or sit on your ass in the throne room pretending to be the next SJW hero of Westeros- which entails minutes of the most mundane scenes in the series with a dash of the worst acting the show has ever had. (Danny telling Mr. Friendzone Rock Wrist to find a cure.)

Nothing can wash away the stain that is Cersei Lannister or Catelyn Stark.

Cersei is well known for her petty viciousness but to me Catelyn is the most evil person on the show.

She's evil because she does wrong and thinks it's good and doesn't care about the consequences let alone consider them.

Cersei does evil but it's calculated. She knows people will be hurt and while she cares about that she cares more about the people she will protect. She calculating, manipulative, but she knows right from wrong and chooses wrong because the ends justify the means.

Catelyn also knows right from wrong but she repeatedly chose wrong and to hurt people without really understanding the consequences or feeling guilt over them.

She arrested Tyrion Lannister and started the war. She had no right to seize him and she did so based on the lie that Littlefinger told her. A man who had no reason to be loyal or trustworthy to the Starks.
Catelyn learned the truth about Tyrion from several independent sources and yet still continued to maintain that he was guilty. She continued to persecute his name and honor rather than admit she had made a mistake. Perhaps she could have changed the course of the war had she admitted her msitakes.
She freed Jaime Lannister on the promise that he would return her daughters without any evidence that he would have the power to achieve that or that Arya was even alive. This act was the last straw that caused the Karstarks to abandon the Starks and led to Roose Bolton making a deal with the Lannisters to betray Robb at the Red Wedding.

Catelyn was a dumb cunt. More boneheaded even than Ned Stark. She was devoid of guilt. Felt justified in hurting many to achieve dubious and short sighted goals and ultimately destroyed her son's cause and led to all their deaths.

Catelyn Stark= dumbest cunt ever.

Game of Thrones was feminist ever since the Dragon Lady/breaker of etc. thousand nicknames didn't die in a fire. Powerful husband dies and somehow got followers due to magic. Luck and magic keeps her going. Every time something bad happens a lucky, magical, or lucky and magical thing happens in the moment to saves her.

She seems exempt from the random killings of main characters. If there is one that needs it then it's her. At least Tyrion said it out loud, bitch sounds like the mad king when she talks about destroying everyone and imposing her version of the world upon the populace.

More directly in-tune with TRP Jorah saved Dany several times without thanks, professed love for her, and what did he get? Banished. Not once, multiple times. Then finally when he contracts a disease that can't be cured what does he get? An order to cure himself because she could use him at a later date. What did Dany do in the meantime? She fucked the younger more handsome mercenary several times, I think she fucked that other woman, and in general acted exactly as TRP would say she would: the beta orbiter got shit for all his troubles. Sansa is pretty much a tool that knows nothing about strategy, leadership, any of that. Her last minute rescue was basically her making a deal with Baelish for something (probably to fuck). Her revenge on Ramsey though was just that. Have him eaten by dogs for all that time he analed her and forced her to gag on his cock. Ramsey lost the battle, he could've died any shape or form be it hanging, burning, or the most suitable end, his dogs.

Daenerys is still a fuck up of a ruler. Tyrion had a great thing going with his diplomacy and negotiations until military got involved. Danny is the type that will crucify everyone and hold public executions then turn around proclaiming peace and love and no more raping and murder. How her hamster spins that she is a good person while punishing men through impaling them on spikes. Only thing she's got going for her is her dragons and immunity to fire. She's to me the equivalent of that rich bitch who gets everything handed to her and then manages to become VP or CFO of a company despite being incompetent. Successful because of inheritance.

Arya is a brat. Entered an assassin guild to learn to kill people because revenge is more important than trying to find your sister and family. Then when it was up to actually carry out a job that she was assigned to do, she backs out. She already got what she wanted. She's like that gal in retail, only works at the store for the employee discount and wants the minimum amount of hours just to keep that discount. When the company fucks with her schedule that it gets in the way of her party weekends, she calls in sick or quits because she doesn't want to do the work that came with the job.

I found the Sansa/Jon pre-battle exchange irritating bullshit but then the late-game deployment of the Vale army changed things. It's not clear at this point, but if she knew they were there and deliberately held them back rather than giving them to Jon's command (where they would inevitably have been wasted when he lost his shit and the plan fell apart at the beginning) then that is some dark manipulative shit which I have no problem with in her character considering her recent history.

I don't think Strong Female Characters is an issue. The incongruence comes when they have those characters but still portray male characters reacting to them as sexually desirable women. They can be desirable for purely power alliance reasons, or because they're manipulative and know how to behave attractively feminine around men like Margeary, that's fine. It's when they show them as grizzled, powerful, promiscuous, fundamentally masculine figures which men somehow still find sexually attractive that it's unrealistic. Danaerys is the main culprit of this right now.

Can't really agree about Sansa. During the war council she doesn't have any input and even admits she doesn't know shit about war or battles and didn't really rally too much support, sir Davis was better at that then she was, all she did was tell John to win the battle, granted though at the present battle parlay with Ramsay she did say some strong shit about him dying and losing and she would win (she wins by a bunch of men getting wasted for her name). She doesn't help the battle at all, she sits there while Littlefinger sends in the Knights of the Vale to do a cavalry charge into the Bolton forces. Though she sent the letter asking him to come so I guess that's up in the air.

Gotta say though was a hell of a battle sequence, the visuals and camera angles, the choreography of the scene was amazing and brutal, very visceral, never seen anything like it on screen, maybe the best battle scene I've ever seen. The use of real world tactics, especially that phalanx wall was topnotch.

The books are brilliant, though it's unlikely the next one is gonna meet the standard Martin had set for himself. The producers basically milked the cow to oblivion and, now that the old one miraculously withered away (i don't know, it just kinda happened!), are hounding the farmer for more cows.

Cutting very important shit out to dumb it down for the masses - as with every other piece of art you have to activate grey matter for to comprehend - is reasonable to a degree. Noone would watch a show with Season 1 having up to 50+ Episodes, two hours long each, not that many people watching the show could follow such a format.

They have moved away from the books. Initially there was a lot of criticism, by feminist, that the women had no depth to their characters and were just getting fucked, raped, or using sex etc well hello it is set in the middle ages and to each female character was unique. But naturally the feminist voice prevails.

In S6, Sansa: Yes she saved the day, but she kinda screwed over her brother by not telling him, although Jon is emotionally weak and any smart individual would have done that. But she had to go to little finger for help, little finger is cunning , fucked her over many times, might fuck her over again, and who knows what deal she had to agree to to get him to help her.

Mother of Dragons : I prefer her when Drago's balls were slapping her ass, and now it's just annoying that she is still viewed as good by viewers despite the fact that the show has hinted at her looming insanity in her quest for power and her motive shifting from being altruistic to all about her. Don't forget Tryrian reminded her that burning down a city is not good and similar to what her father did.

Arya, her story would have become shit if she actually became a faceless girl. Now she has the skills of an assassin and might actually be the most dangerous and unorthodox Stark.

Cerci and Maegery are quite similar. Cerci is older, more experienced, but also bitter due to life.

Here's the breakdown of episode 4 that was the last straw for me:

Castle Black: Jon Snow is being wimpy, and Sansa is pushing him to do something about Winterfell. There's also the Mance Raider/Brienne scene where he is eating like a savage, but whatever.
King's Landing: In captivity, Margerey is holding strong, but Ser Loras is turning into a quivering pile of jelly. "Make it stop!" Strong independent woman, weak cowering mangina.
Iron Islands: Theon is a sniveling weakling, his sister is the strong one. He wants her to rule the Iron Islands. (Not his brothers - why is that?)
Dothraki Capital: Danerys tips over a couple of braziers in the Khaal hall, and everything goes up like it's been soaked in kerosene. You think people who live in tents would be more careful about shit like this. The Khaals run around like idiots and burn to death, Danerys walks out of the flames, and everyone bows.
Winterfell: Only place a man does better than a woman. Ramsay kills the woman who helped the Starks escape, after he lets her think she is seducing him. But then, he is a pure psycho. So yeah, kind of score another one for womankind here

It's pretty clear to me that as the show surpassed the books, they have emancipated themselves more fully from the source material.

Thus they have less cover from feminist criticisms on one hand, and more liberty to react to feminist criticisms and have the story change as a result of them on the other hand.

Everybody knows that the rape of Sansa in season 5 drew more criticism than perhaps anything else about the show even though it was essentially inevitable given the 'fake Arya' arc that they superimposed on Sansa's character in the show. You could not convince me that this season doesn't represent reacting to some of that criticism.

Another way you see it is in the nudity this season. There have really only been two examples of gratuitous female nudity all season. (Dany and Melisandre were both character driven) 1. Fake Sansa backstage- offset by closeup penis 2. Iron Islands whorehouse scene- Yara had to be the primary character enjoying the whores.

Do I have a problem with it? That's a separate question. I don't necessarily have a problem with the end result; I have mixed feelings, but I wouldn't say it's bad.

I do, however, have a problem with showrunners having influences from the outside. I don't think D & D have done a great job with any of the show only plot lines/dialogue. The material that is more faithful to the source is generally of higher quality/more coherent than the stuff that is more original to the show. So the ways that they've changed the story to appease feminists is maybe just an extension of that general ineptitude. I can't fault them for not being able to tell the story as well as GRRM, but I don't like the idea that their own creative impulses are compromised by the fact that the story is being criticized while it is being written.

The most powerful male/masculine character on the show is the Night King and he's the super villain. But he's powerful af. Bran's also really powerful, but he's a lost child.

I think they're trying to show the 'evil' winter god uses male White Walkers, while the 'good' red gods support comes from mostly female priestesses.

Game of thrones is as much of a redpill TV show that there is. Of course they add in some "empowered" women because otherwise they would completely alienate half of they're viewing audience. Yeah everybody puts Dannys pussy on a pedestal but bitch has dragons. Pretty much every male character in it is alpha as fuck. Even jor ah who is beta orbiting is still alpha. Littlefinger who had oneitis is dark triad and manipulated his way into power while not even able to fight. Jon snows alpha even though he acts like a bitch the whole show. Watching this show through a red pill lense you can actually learn a lot of shit about red pill truths. Just ignore the bullshit they put in so the feminists can hamster away how "oppressed" the women in the show are. Pretty much all the strong female characters don't really do shit without help from the male characters. The battle of the bastards did jerk off the feminists pretty excessively.
