I'll start off by saying I fully believe in traditional gender roles when it comes to relationships and tasks (I'm such a misogynist asshole, I know). I came across this article earlier about how the brunt of household chores will switch from women to men within the next 50 years. After reading it, I'm conflicted with trying to understand why/how that would be the case.

Factors that I believe are contributing to this "trend" are:

• The rise of feminism in western culture ("Household duties should be equal, why should women do all of the work?!")
• Some men using these tasks expecting transactional/duty sex (Which we know doesn't work)

If a man is spending more time doing these chores, then he isn't focusing on his mission in life/business. If that's the case, those areas that he's worked so hard for will begin to erode. We all know that our mission is the most important thing that we need focus our efforts on, for both ourselves and our family. If this trend keeps up, will our grandchildren not have the same definition of "traditional gender roles" as we do?
