They're just bragging. Makes me wonder what they are really ashamed of

[–]RedPillCaveman[S] 29 points30 points31 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The funny thing is, the only thing they appear to believe is "shame-worthy" is just being ashamed about anything you've ever done.

They seriously act like not feeling shame for all the stupid/slutty/immoral things they've ever done is something to be lauded for, like shame is some oppressive shackle they should be congratulated for throwing off.

No, ladies, having no shame for your mistakes generally just means you're a shitty person with no conscience.

They're trying to avoid shame-shaming?

[–]thebears1986 77 points78 points79 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Most of these confessions deal with banging many dudes, sometimes in multiples. Despite feminism's preaching that everything is all fine these women deep down know something isn't right.

These women load up on makeup so they can keep up with the rest, buy designer clothes and accessories so they look their best, work long hours in careers so they can have as much money as other men/women, save for a glamourous wedding that is better than their friends, and of course bang so many dudes and preach sex-positivism so they can fit in with other women and not be ostracized in the community.

Not one living for herself. All of it is so fake. They want to be happy like their friends. Too bad they don't realize their friends are acting, too.

[–]veggie_girl 33 points34 points35 points 12 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

The best part is these women trying to convince themselves they aren't ashamed of it, after just admitting it was the most shameful thing they have done.

The truth is, a woman is always going to feel shame after sex unless she gets more than just sex out of it. Too many women are fooling themselves thinking that sex isn't a transaction. Men get sex from sex. Women don't enjoy the sex in the same way men do. Women will dwell on it and wonder about what she is getting out of the sex for weeks or even years afterward.

Typically women are only ashamed of sex if events following it didn't meet their expectations. And let me tell you, most women's expectations are way higher than reality ever delivers. I remember my first time, huge disappointment in comparison to how the media advertised it being. That's why game works. If a man keeps the expectations low then she won't feel bad about it later when he never calls. When a man acts all beta and achieves sex then she is by default expecting to get some control over him.

Every time a woman has sex, in her head she is dreaming up some fantasy about what the sex is going to give her. It's never about just the sex. Keeping the woman happy with receiving little for it requires keeping expectations very low and delivering barely above what those are set at.

TL;DR - The way to prevent women from being ashamed of having sex with you is to, like everything else in life, properly manage expectations.

[–]gretka 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women don't enjoy the sex in the same way men do

I would argue they enjoy it more (some of them, at least). Men can always just use their hand and imagination, and it's IMO better than bad sex with a girl. Women, however, have to use toys to get the same feeling of fullness, but even this way they can't get even close to the feeling of being dominated and pounded by a man.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Women actually enjoy sex as much if not more than men, the idea that they don't like it is just a convenient lie so that they can keep the monopoly on sex.

[–]veggie_girl 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I never said women enjoy it less, just differently.

But now that we're on the topic, women frequently do enjoy it less. It's because most men are betas, and so women flock to apex males: the only males capable of making women enjoy sex more than men do.

Regardless of the male quality it is sill transactional. A woman gets an apex males attention and the possibility of carrying his offspring. With betas she gets control of the the male, which is good at first but quickly loses its appeal. That's why in many relationships you'll hear about how the sex is good at first but the girl loses interest over time. If the man is a beta the woman has complete control over him, but women quickly learn with these guys that just the possibility of sex is enough to maintain the same level of control.

Women lose interest in this scenario because women want to be sexually submissive and cannot truly do so with a beta male that puts women on a pedestal.

[–]thegman84 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men's brains release far more dopamine than women's during sex.

We can argue about which gender enjoys the overall experience of sex more if we're talking about emotions/bonding/buildup etc.....

But in terms of lighting up the reward center of the brain, there is no contest. Men enjoy the act of sex more.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

I honestly didn't expect to see "cheating" in that thread, but multiple women in that thread admitted to cheating and acted proud that they're not ashamed of it.

Can you imagine a man having that mindset? I genuinely can't. I can imagine a scum bag of a man boasting that he managed to cheat, but I can't imagine a man boasting about how strong and independent he is for his lack of shame for betraying his partner.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honor is a male concept ONLY!

[–]anakinastronaut 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's pretty stupid man, you are doing the pedastal that women are put on, and putting men on it. I know plenty of men and women that cheat and never feel ashamed of it.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not talking about men who aren't ashamed. I'm talking about men who voice pride in not being ashamed.

[–]anakinastronaut 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, then yeah, I get what you mean. I thought you meant you couldn't imagine a man not ashamed of cheating on a woman.

[–][deleted] 35 points36 points37 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It's a "progressive" circle jerk. They all just want to be that unique little snowflake that's done something outside the social norm because they're so progressive. Every now and then they have a thread with some self-reflection and some normal women will come out of the woodwork and contradict most of the other crazy crap. I think reddit just generally attracts some of the lowest tier women (and men, but that's another story).

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

lowest tier women (and men,

It's a website filled with men obsessing over pictures of cats... what can you expect?

[–]1thedangerboy 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This was my thought exactly. I bet most of those posters talking about threesomes, cheating, abortions, or casual relationships are all "academic feminists". We all could profile them and the would all be very similar: white, female, age 20-35, suburban childhood, college educated on some level, studied one of the humanities, etc.

[–]FreakingLiberals 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a "progressive" circle jerk.

Yuck, I can't even bring myself to be genuinely attracted (i.e., by more than my cock) to liberal chicks in my lefty city any longer.

Without doing so, they fall flat on their ass and have to start ALL over.

[–]Mooshaq 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

This one is my favorite:

Oh man, like, where to even start?

  • Sleeping with or dating men who were otherwise married/taken/whatever

  • Having an abortion

  • Cheating

  • Enjoying lots of sex while also being a victim of both rape and abuse

  • Engaging in non-monogamy

  • Being depressed and taking time to handle it accordingly instead of "sucking it up" or whatever the typical American attitude towards mental health is

  • Dropping out of school

And so on and so on. Like, "shame" really seems like the most worthless of feelings. I don't need it in my life. I can learn lessons and grow as a person without feeling "ashamed" of things I've done or places I've been.

Also, this is a good one by a different commenter:

I got out of a relationship and within a a month period had a one night stand, a short FWB things, a causal relationship, and then ended up in a new relationship. I'm very happy with my boyfriend and the experience taught me a lot about myself.

Ridiculous. This reminds me of someone's post in here the other day about his ex-gf fucking some dude three days after the break-up. Here's just more and more proof that we're not just bitter men making this shit up!

While I don't agree with anything else she did, I do agree that shame is a worthless feeling. This is an argument about the true definition of the word, however.

Shame is by its nature a toxic emotion, and it comes about when one feels terrible about his/her own identity. Guilt on the other hand comes from a betrayal of one's values. An ashamed person says, "I am a piece of shit." There's nothing that can be learned or gained from this shame – it leaves no room for repair and improvement. A guilty person says, "I completely went against my values, and I fucked up." This strengthens those values (by implying there importance) and still provides constructive criticism: "I fucked up," and "I need to thus fix this." In this case, there is room for repair and improvement.

I do think that she should be remorseful about all this, and not feel positively about it. I agree with her that she should feel no shame, however, I absolutely think that she should feel guilt. If she does not, then yes, that is a sociopathic tendency.

If you wish to delve further into the subject, read "Healing the Shame that Binds You" by John Bradshaw.

[–]Mooshaq -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I did try to preface my comment by saying that it is simply a semantic argument (I said "...an argument about the true definition of the word").

Shame is a worthless emotion because it does not beget improvement. I like to think that a core tenet of all this TRP stuff is that you should always be improving – that's why TRP supports lifting weights, working on your game, building things (metaphorically or physically), etc. Guilt begets improvement, whereas shame is just a self-deprication that goes nowhere. It's just saying, "I suck." However, when it becomes guilt, it becomes, "I suck, and I want to change it."

You're arguing based upon what you think the definition of shame and guilt are. I am making a semantic argument that the definition of shame is way different than the definition of guilt. Shame is toxic guilt. Shame is a form of guilt that is devoid of purpose. You are ashamed, which just means you feel like shit. There's nothing more to it. So yes, if you believe that life is always about bettering yourself (and those around you), then shame is a worthless habit to have. I'm not saying that humans don't have to experience it, but rather that it will do nothing to help you.

[–]caius_iulius_caesar 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Very perceptive. I wrote an essay on this distinction a few weeks ago.

Guilt is a highly effective means of ensuring compliance with norms, because it's enforced by the individual. Shame is an ineffective means, because it's enforced by others, so its efficacy depends on the risk of getting caught.

The problem that we have is that women are primarily influenced by shame rather than guilt, because they generally lack the internal moral standards that guilt requires.

Some appear to be little influenced even by shame, however.

[–]amatorfati 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

There's nothing that can be learned or gained from this shame

Nonsense. Feeling shame tells you that what you did makes you feel shameful. You want to do everything in your power to avoid feeling that again, you avoid repeating the mistake. You can always learn from shame.

[–]Mooshaq 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fine.

Everyone is getting so into this – all I'm saying is that shame and guilt are two different things, and that what we normally call shame is not necessarily the psychologist/psychiatrist definition of shame. That is all.

Can we stop commenting on this now?

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure they aren't ashamed. That's why they will gladly disclose this information to their future beta provider on the first or second date. Right?

[–]FreakingLiberals 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No, but you can bet she'll prod around for his SMV by trying to figure out the number of women he has been with, their age and how attractive they were, how much he makes, etc.

[–]Mooshaq 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yup. I have a vivid recollection of this happening to me with my last FWB. After the first time we had sex, she asked me how many girls I had sex with prior to her. So naturally, the beta I was said, "(my #) girls...and you're the only girl I'm fucking because I'm not that kinda guy." Ugh. She didn't even need to prod after a statement like that, and especially not after the fact that I had cooked her dinner and gone down on her a lot that night.

It's moments where I remember shit like this that I am so thankful for this subreddit.

Well I haven't been in that situation again (yet) since swallowing TRP about four months ago. Hopefully another TRP member who has recently been in this situation can add some input.

What you should say depends on you personally, the situation, etc. However, I would definitely not say anything like "you're the only girl...I'm not that kind of guy." The most important part is to make it known that you have options and that she's not doing you any favors. As for your sexual partner number, I personally would still be honest about it, and I would make sure to own it (don't hesitate or shy away from the question) – if she is nosy and asks, then fuck it, she's getting the truth.

That was a poorly worded comment, and a lot of people called her out on it. She states lower in the thread that she will be debt free because she finally landed a job and is now able to pay them off, not because she thinks she doesn't have to pay them back.

Most leftist chicks don't.

How on earth anyone can have an abortion and not feel shame shows how much scientific ignorance and positivist brainwashing liberals and Democrats engage in—or maybe just the power of the hamster wheel. The left uses downright false claims "it's like a fingernail," pretend that natural rights don't exist (ironic, since they're what freed the slaves), and so on.

Women have been having abortions since the time of primitive man, according to William Durant. It will always exist, considering women lack important traits like honor, respect for abstract concepts like justice and morality, etc., but the state shouldn't endorse their criminal act.

I agree with you.

It shouldn't be considered unacceptable to disagree with the majority on abortion or anything else.

[–]redpilldude 21 points22 points23 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Wow, some of those women are real cunts.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Just some?

[–]redpilldude 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was referring to the women who had cheated yet didn't feel any shame or remorse. There were some women who had sex with married men. That's fucked up. Shit like that leads to divorces, and divorce can ruin people's lives, especially the lives of young children. Children shouldn't have to deal with divorce just because these dumb cunts want to explore their sexuality. Fuck them.

Yeah, shame is for non-psychopaths.

[–]Offensive_Brute 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Frankly I thought it was gonna be a lot worse. Most of those girls are run of the mill sluts. The neighborhood girls, where I grew up, about half have similar rapsheets and some worse. Some one should ask how many are from broken/abusive homes and how many were raised religious/what denomination. I'm willingto bet, you'll find a lot of nonpracticing christians with daddy issues correspond with the sluts in that thread.

How about the guy that wrote:

I believe guns should only be in the hands of trained professionals. I believe in liberties.

Uh huh. Seems hamstering/delusional rationalization is in no way exclusive to the female sex, gentlemen.

There are a bunch of different control mechanisms in human society that stop anti-social behaviour... guilt, shame, fear of punishment, etc.

We have a word for people who feel no guilt (sociopath). We have a word for people who feel no fear (psychopath). Why do we have no word for people who feel no shame?

I swear I'm allergic to the amount of bullshit in that thread.

If memory serves its number 3 or 4 on the list of top female "fetishes"

[–]anakinastronaut 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That sounds about right. Behind rape fantasies and Submission.

I don't think this particular one is bad. It would be stupid of us to say that she's slutty for fucking her boyfriend near her parents but it's not weird that a guy fucked his girlfriend near her parents.

When I was 15 years old, my girlfriend and I had sex all over my house when my parents were home, and all over her house when her parents were home. Many times it was in the next room. Some shit went down...accidentally cumming on stuff, shaking her dad's hand immediately after fingering his daughter, etc. My point being: when your hormones are raging like a mother fucker and you're 15 years old, you gotta do it wherever you can. Maybe that's the case here (even if they're not teenagers).

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Meh I don't see that as anything to be ashamed of if it was her boyfriend. If it was some random dude it would be nasty though.

Did my gf at the time on the roof of her house (was more concealing than you think) while her entire family was watching TV in the room directly below. We had no privacy at all during that vacation and horny is as horny does.

Just lol if you think your SO isn't going to cheat on you at least once. Women have zero accountability.

[–]realniggasstandup 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I read a study once that women are less disgusted with things than men are.

[–]rompastompa12 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Why doesn't that work when i plop my cock into their hands at the local grocers checkout counter?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What's the big deal, honestly? It's not like you guys didn't know women were like this. I was expecting every one of them to be 'I cheated on my boyfriend with 4 men at once' and instead it's a bunch of sluts being sluts. Sure it's disgusting, but that's why you get the notch and never think of them again.

[–]chill_geddy 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i have never written a comment on Reddit before but i have to say "get the notch and never think of them again" is poetry, well played fodespotic well fuckin played

The entire reason why that thread was posted was because OP probably did some shamful shit and wanted some hamster reinforcement. It then took off because all the other hamsters now want validation/ego fulfillment for all the sick shit they've done.

[+]watersign -10 points-9 points-8 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

lol, most women are fucking worthless whores

[–]PertaVinGrahl 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Right, because that small sample from Reddit expressly asking women without a sense of shame covers all women everywhere.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The others just won't admit it.
