The problem is that in the past, when a man was weak and submissive, his family and friends called him out on it, and shamed him into having some balls, but nowadays, men are not only allowed to be weak and submissive but they are thanked for it, and they are taught that this is what a man should be, they are raised to be beta pussies. But they can change, all they need is to force themselves to chase success. If a man starts out at a 20k a year salary, fat and in poor health, he can improve himself and then, a couple years later, he can get what he wants easily. Sure, he could just be lazy and pay for a prostitute, but it wouldnt be the same, because deep down he would know that he is so worthless that he needs to pay to have sex. Most men will never fix the problem because there is nobody that wants them to fix the problem.

Extremes are part of the spectrum, you have here people simping and on the other hand being abusive towards women. Caste system has nothing to do with it. If anything, many men even defy 'their' caste norms and marry women from a lower caste which might or might not be against their family norms.
What you see is the outcome of spineless fathers who paid no attention in raising their sons. Even if they do not leave the house and their wives per se, their contribution in the household is purely financial. Having been raised effectively by mothers has rendered many young men as white knights and cucks, which is not surprising as that happens in every country. I have to agree that there are lots of boys here keeping women on pedestal. I'll try to give a detailed answer, hope it provides some insight into the Indian sex dynamics.
Objectively speaking, I feel men in India are better looking than women on average. Sure, we have pretty ladies too, but they're less in number somehow. So, you have this dynamic where more men are competing for less women both in sheer numbers and attractive index. India's sex ratio is skewed at 909 females per 1000 males.
During the days when we were colonized by the British, they instilled in Indians that fairer skin is the best thing on this entire planet. India has all kinds of skin complexions, but mostly on the wheatish and dusky side. I have seen boys reject women just because they are not fairer than them.
Now, you have this problem of sex ratio, less number of good looking women and on top of it, skin complexion which leaves us with a small pool of women who are termed 'desirable' by men. More opportunities to be a simp!
In richer and upper middle class families, parents favour their daughters more than their sons in the sense that they go easy on them, leading to them being pampered and less accountable while boys are not provided a good atmosphere to develop their masculinity (as I said in the last comment). Maybe this has to do with how their parents treated them in the 60s and 70s and they want their girls to have all the comforts, I can't be sure but this is quite prevalent. Most of the THOTS (almost exclusively fair skinned : edit) are from these families which is not surprising.
One thing I forgot to mention was that most of the users you see on social media from India are from rural background. Most of them have had no exposure to internet prior to 2016 (that's when free mobile internet services were started by a company called Reliance JIO). So, you have this new generation of internet users that have no idea about internet etiquette which is why you saw those bob and vagene jokes an year or two ago.
They learnt what they saw from westernized social media which also played a role in shaping their perception of women. Trying to woo women on the internet has not much consequences either, so you can be as big of a cuck as you want.

Caste system was originally designed to add structure to the society and it was not hierarchical. It was an organizational structure. For example a company has Marketing and Sales Department, Customer Service Department, IT Department, HR Department. Think of Zappos as a company that has flat structure. Everyone is given a certain role that they have to get done.
4 main ones are divided by tasks they have to do: Worshipping gods, Warriors, Merchants and Farmers, Physically laborious work.
There were not upper or lower caste in people's mind, the colonial rule changed that perception to divide and conquer. It is because the colonials viewed certain jobs are upper level than others. The breaking down of caste system screwed the society. (Main Stream Media including print media will tell you differently because the caste system knowledge was passed on as verbal knowledge, versus the colonials used printed media to pass on the knowledge. Printed documentation is seen as more credible than verbal now-a-days)
All of these people were owners of their own fate. Work harder and you could become the best warrior, work harder and you can be physically strongest.
After perceiving it as hierarchical, now people of other caste do work of other caste and they have a hard time. They are now employees. Now they have become part of the same hierarchical structure that they opposed in the first place.
The first 15-18 years of your life you learn from parents. A mom and pop shop owner's son will have a hard time becoming a software developer. Because now he has to rely completely on his external education from institutions to make him better trained employee rather than exploiting his innate abilities to discover his true potential. This son will have better interpersonal and customer service skills because he observed his parents observe his parents' interactions with customers and people.
The innate abilities are from your DNA becoming polished over time that is passed on from the parents (a muscular father will pass good muscle building genetics to his off-spring) and the things that the kid learns in childhood (the son of a sculptor will develop the skills to shape the objects better because he has learned those skills from observing his father, he acquired those skills, and he can only improve it further).
What you said could be right in the sense that there was no existence of pedestal before and now the hierarchical observance of the caste system make these men put women on pedestal. Whereas women lose interest when put on pedestal, she constantly keeps working towards earning the pedestal position. Women like men who treat them no different than others. Putting them on pedestal makes them entitled. Now putting them on pedestal gives rise to this thinking, "He treats me like a queen means I deserve to be a queen not the wife of a commoner"
A king would always treat his queen as his wife, one of the many women he can marry. She earns the title of the queen through marriage. The king knows that, and the queen knows that. He doesn't treat her like the queen the commoners do. Treating the woman like a queen makes her think of you as a commoner not the king.

Right now we're only beginning to get a grasp of the complex way that groups of genes affect one another. It's a hot area of research at the moment, and consequently has more than its fair share of loonies claiming to have found the "violence" gene, or the "gay" gene, or for all I know the gene that "makes" you like raspberry jelly.
TL;DR: genetic explanations are currently fashionable, and so likely to be employed by people who don't really know what they're talking about. Believe with Caution.
