don’t let a man tell you he doesn’t want you twice. he doesn’t even have to say it out loud. as soon as I get the feeling that a man isn’t into me anymore I’m out. I hope she leaves him, she already has an instinct that he’s cheating, he hasn’t been paying attention to her....so why is she still here? 😭

Honestly I’m impressed that’s she has so much clarity around the issue.

I disagree that she don’t wanna be saved. I think she’s spent years getting gaslighted and has finally accepted reality for what it is.

I think people underestimate how hard it is to leave someone you have been with for years, who used to love you the way you love them (let’s be real- they were way more in love with you, they chased the shit out of you) but then as the years go on they take you for granted. They turn back to porn. Eyes linger at the waitress too long. Become friendly with female coworkers when they never were before. Are you insecure? Or does their disinterest in you permeate in other ways confirming what you already know?

They’re gone, but neither of you can admit it because it’s so fucked up. HE knows it’s nonsensical, but instead of fixing the relationship he sabatoges it. But because he hasn’t Locked down his side chick (and honestly, knows she’s not worth it) he won’t let you leave. He won’t be honest. He’ll drive you to your edge then reel you back in with what you want to hear.

Even though it’s a manipulation tactic, I think men respond to us leaving because it’s the only time they’re faced with the actual gravity of the loss of your presence. They took that presence for granted every day but only feel remorse when they’re not benefitting from it anymore.

And of course, they want their cake and dont want you moving on with a better man.

So I applaud her for standing up and saying “No he IS treating me like shit and he IS ignoring me in front of his friends and he IS cheating” Sis needs to snoop because without evidence, men lie band gaslight to kingdom come about cheating. It’ll have you second guessing yourself about leaving when him treating you like shit should have already had you out the door regardless.

It’s better to become self aware of the truth then keep deluding yourself and playing yourself. I believe this woman will wake up and make the plunge.

It's very frustrating to read this! It's all the more frustrating because she's so aware of what is happening, yet refuses to act on it. It's like watching someone who refuses to go to the dentist until all their teeth are so rotten they're beyond saving.

I hope she reads what she wrote and leaves him. This could be the first step of freeing herself from this relationship. Friends of mine have stayed in less than desirable situations under the guise of "I'm just not ready to be alone right now". As if being alone is a worse fate than being with someone who is openly cheating on you or emotionally abusing you. Get out while you can. You're not married to him, you're free.
