It’s a numbers game with them. That’s why I never trust men who hit on you immediately and are too smooth for comfort. They’ve done this thousands of times. Probably several times today. No thanks 🤮🤮🤮

Lmao. This is so perfect. Saving for future use and I can’t wait. I am regularly approached by LVM at work, and less often in random public places. They’re usually SO unbelievably far away from the type of man I would ever consider. It’s to the point where they’re just so physically and energetically off my radar as a “prospect” that until they say or do something super direct, I don’t even realize they’re flirting with me 9 times out of 10. A recent example that comes to mind is a dusty middle aged man in sweatpants who hit on me - a fairly put together woman in my 20’s who puts effort into my appearance & was not wearing sweatpants - at work. Thought we were just having pleasant convo for a few minutes until he asked if he could “take me out sometime”, seemingly out of the blue. I tried to contain my look of shock and horror but I’m sure it still came through a little bit. It’s not like I have zero guard up so I kinda feel like I should’ve “learned” by now... but, the audacity. Idk if the shock value will ever go away.

They LOVE the conquest, they think they better they do (looks wise, status wise, manipulation wise) the more they are "worthy." But it's pure ego. That's all they feed into.

I had an old, ugly ass man (like late 60s) at Walmart hit on me. I thought he was just being friendly and replied. Next thing I know he says ARE YOU SINGLE? I just looked at him in shock, so he repeated it urgently. I laughed and said I was happy single and walked the fuck off.

Apparently this post is hitting close to home for some men. I've gotten four comments that have mysteriously disappeared (I take judgy as a compliment, honestly. I have high standards and if a man can't meet them, there are plenty more in line who will compete). We have the best mod team I swear.

I’m currently working in a restaurant, owned by a boss I worked for 20 yrs ago. One night a couple comes in and the man recognizes me from the old days. Talked to me (and ignored his girlfriend) the whole meal. He told me he was divorced, broke, no car, etc... I made sure the girlfriend was included. (I hate when men disrespect their date/wife.) At the end of the meal the girlfriend went to the ladies room. He spent the time telling me he was going to dump her because... and it was so great to see me and he’d be back as soon as he could get a ride and some cash together. “Unless the boss (they were friends) treats me.” I was extremely nice to the girlfriend. (She paid the bill and left a very generous tip.) Now this guy is late 50’s, a broke, degenerate gambler, coke/alcohol addict with no legitimate employment. The next day my boss gets a phone call from this guy while I was standing next to him. He put it on speaker. This man had the brass balls to ask if “Gina would be interested in going out with me.” WTF

Ah, I may be a 64 yr old, broke ass waitress, but desperate I am definitely not. I have way more self respect than to be burdened with that prize!

Just want to say, I’m so glad I found this sub. (Thanks Mods for letting me comment.) I always thought it was just me. So comforting to know, not! I learned all the things (the hard way) you wonderful young women are learning a LOT sooner than me. You are Queens. (Having yrs of stories I’ll share. Maybe a light bulb will go off for someone and I will definitely be learning and re-enforced by you. Thanks.)

I'm outgoing and friendly when I'm out, so I end up getting hit on by all kinds of guys just because I seem approachable. If a guy who's obviously below my league tries and is respectful about it, I'm respectful and polite back. I give them credit for trying. Guys are gonna shoot their shot.

It's the aggressive and arrogant LVMs that need slapping down.
