I don't want this to turn into a pity party but I thought this sub would help.

I know the principles on here help to get respect from men and also books (I put many of them into my to read list) but I have just discovered all this stuff and it isn't very popular in general. The most mainstream dating advice seems to stay the opposite things and it is confusing sometimes.

I am young (20yo) but I have already experienced a great amount of distress, most of it was caused by my own stupidity and stubborness.

I keep seeking validation from guys and in the end I don't get anything out of this. I broke my own heart 3 or 4 times in one year or 2 without even trying to date in an active manner.

I thought for a while that love would solve my issues and compensate for my lack of social life etc but now I am sick of it.

I keep chasing breadcrumbs of attention even though I know it is bad for me.

The fact that I have to do x and y to turn "high value" is so depressed. Humans surely make me misanthopic but I guess it is life.

I am into therapy and working on it but sometimes I can't deal with all the rejection anymore. Circumstances also played a role etc and it is my own fault for building my hopes up in the past but I cannot accept that they didn't/don't want me even if maybe they liked me or respected me.

I never had a guy being crazy for me, I know women don't exist for men and their bullshit but it hurts and it is human nature I guess. They are attracted to me, like me or my company or respect me but nothing else. Also those cases were separated because I hardly get the chance to meet people irl but I don't want to throw myself into dating and meeting guys.

I feel like finding someone you click with and are in love is too hard and I don't want to go on dozen of dates or waste time.

I need to work on my social skills and life in general but I have an hard time relating to people.

I get compliments on my looks, intelligence or character but I feel rather insignificant. People get into relationships all the time without being exceptional or anything (men and women included). You don't need to be 8+/10, earn 500k per year, be extremely popular or a celebrity or have an 145 IQ.

I get tons of compliments on my intelligence etc but many say smart women are a turn off to men. Please don't call me a pickmeisha, I am just saying that some say it is not as attractive to men as looks or other personality traits.

Not saying I am Einstein or similar, but many guys don't like intellectual convo and for me it is vital for a possible relationship.
