My view is that men are as biologically suited to move upward in the tribe as women are biological suited for hypergamy.

It is well-known around here that women are hypergamous. Women are able to move upwards amongst men, including branch swinging from male to higher-status male. The goal of this is to acquire access to as many resources as possible for her child. Hence, women will be attracted to alpha males who can acquire access to such resources (usually the top 20% of men, including men who are at the top of the corporate ladder, and historically, men prone to rape and pillage). Women also intuitively understand how to manage this, through a strong foundation in covert manipulation. A high-tier woman knows how to find her way to the top of men.

I believe that men have a very similar skillset, however it is not sexually based but rather is that men are bred to understand and deal with other men in a way that will allow them to succeed and move up. It has been said before that one major issue with the introduction of women to the workplace is that women often don't understand that the banter that happens between men at work is not them insulting eachother, but them riffing. She sees this as being "too mean." Not only do men growing up becoming well-suited to the competitive male world, but I believe that innate aspects such as lower empathy, higher levels of competitiveness (from testosterone) help them manage this.

The popularity of Jordan Peterson's messages of "finding meaning" and of the fact that so many men resonate with the TRP philosophy of "finding a purpose" shows that at an internal, core level, men instinctually want to accomplish and achieve. And I think many men are primed to move to the top.
