Maybe this is already obvious to everyone but it just occurred to me that in the SMP, men are the sellers and women are the buyers. I think looking at things through this metaphor makes a lot of sense and expands on the key/lock analogy in a meaningful way.

Women are faced with a lot of sexual options and have to choose the best one. There are a lot of men open for business and men are in fierce competition with each other to attract customers. A man with a good product who is good at selling himself will have lots of happy customers. A man with a bad product or who is bad at sales won't get any business. Sometimes there might be a guy who is really good at sales and whose product seems decent on the surface but turns out to be bad. His customers have buyers remorse and he gets no repeat business and bad reviews.

If you open a restaurant and reach the milestone of selling your 1000th hamburger that's an achievement. If you're a customer and you've eaten 1000 hamburgers that's not an achievement at all, it just means you ate a hamburger every day for a few years. Anyone could do that and it's nothing to be proud of. I think this is a good metaphor to illustrate the difference between men and women in regards to n count.
