Do you want a family now? If not tell him so. If he is just looking to settle for someone to have a family with, he won’t wait around. If he genuinely wants to have those things with you he will wait until you are ready.

Talk to him about it. Don’t assume that he’s just settling but don’t commit to anything you are not ready to commit to.
