I think ti matters what the fetish is. If it's something like scat or blood then you should never be expected to be into it or want to be into it. He will have to most likely look on some kink site or find a sex worker to get those needs met.

If it is something like tossing salad, anal, facials etc. and you choose not to do it, you need to realize that someone else will. Someone that he won't have to pay more than maybe a couple drinks at the bar to get. You need to put into perspective how gross you think it is, vs how gross most people think it is.

Sexual incompatibility is a valid reason to break up. You need to keep that in mind, because this could become your reality soon enough.

First, I wouldn't let him know you think his fetish is "weird" or "gross." That will shut him down from sharing with you, and you don't want that. Even if you don't agree (assuming his fetishes aren't illegal), then you still want him to come to you with his thoughts/desires.

That said, you can make it clear that you don't share that fetish, and if you won't indulge it, explain that it's not something you'll share with him--state that he will have to partake in that fetish singlehandedly (har har). You can also ask him to keep it out of the bedroom because it affects your sexual happiness. Try to be nonjudgmental in the way you convey this.

Not knowing what it is, it's hard to say if you should just indulge him or not but a fetish for a man is like his whole sexuality. My man likes a bit of bdsm whereas, being a woman, my preferences change week to week, so we both compromise and satisfy each others needs.
