I personally see MGTOW as a ration instead of a definitive, binary expression. I consider everything beyond Blue pill to be some range of MGTOW measured by how much you are willing to give to attract and retain women. The inverse of that amount would be your level of MGTOW.

Blue pill: 0% MGTOW - Men who are in extreme opposition, or oblivion, to the idea of men not courting women, as if it is something inherently important which makes a man truly a man. They are closed-minded to the idea that a man can live a happy life without a woman.

Purple pill: 1-99% MGTOW - I believe the bulk of where all men sit at most points in their life will be some range of purple-pilled MGTOW. Those who are either slowly becoming to know while not yet truly yet wanting, or able, to let go of hopes of courting women, or those who are comfortable with courting women so long as they capitalize on the deal, and are yet still enlightened enough about the dangers of doing so). Being purple isn't necessarily innately a bad thing. It's the widest range of doing what you want versus doing what others want of you. At some point, there are many routes you can end up on. You can eventually say enough is enough and grow closer to full-on Red pill, or you can get married to a "unicorn" and fall down to Blue pill, or you can get married and end up catapulted straight to Red pill when you marry and get divorced by enough demons.

Red pill: 100% MGTOW - Those who have reached the epiphany in which the idea of courting women has finally receded far below focusing on one's self as priority and their influence is nullified, still while not outright being rude towards women. Unlike the purple pill, there is zero chance to regress because this man is enlightened and has placed the meaning of his life entirely all about him.

Black pill: 100.1% MGTOW - to the most extreme view with a pessimistic view of many things that can cause one to not focus on one's self, not just limited to women.

Green pill: Courting to robots or any non-human species only, avoiding and rejecting human society and culture.

Pink pill: Women going their biologically-programmed way in order to acquire the attention of men for courtship, resources and procreation.

The last 2 are made up for funs.

Purple pill men can't be MGTOW BECAUSE they haven't gone their own way. Red pill men don't have to be MGTOW (monk anyways) either but a lot are or choose and consider themselves to be. You literally addressed them, saying what they were. They stick to the dynamics of the blue pill man because of hope and because of that, EVEN IF they know the truth they aren't and can never be MGTOW. End of story.

The MGTOW acronym is representative, not descriptive, even though there is a partial descriptive reference in the title.

Going your own way does not mean going whatever way you want. The entire philosophy is not described in the title. That's just the title. Any number of other titles could have been used instead. As Shakespeare said, "what's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." MGTOW actually means something specifically, that entails avoiding marriage and involved relationships with women, whether you have sex with them or not, in order to retain your autonomy, protect your self-interests, ensure your wellbeing and attain happiness. Unfortunately, in the current climate these things are usually incompatible, for men, with marriage and involved romantic relationships with women.

Sounds like something for weak men who refuse to live in and accept reality. You're asking why we shouldn't accept men going their own way in such a fashion?

Look, mgtow is about realizing women are a losing proposition. After that, what you do is up to you. But IMHO the best ways to fill that void are passions, hobbies, friends. Not pretending like what you believe isn't true.

It's a waste of time to keep debating over silly little labels when we're all doing our own thing anyways; it's asinine. This isn't a club or a video game so why are we trying to rank and categorize each other. We're all on equal grounds in MGTOW and no one man has authority over another.

I've been part of this community for almost a decade; I've seen terms, trends, groups and concepts come and go. I don't give a fuck if you're purple pill, dating, monk, or whatever. Be your own man, do your own shit, and stay in your own lane.

MGTOW is, at its base, no marriage and no cohabitation. If Purple Pill men are consistent with that, then they are probably MGTOW. If they disagree, then they are not MGTOW. At least in my eyes, and according to any definition of MGTOW that I've seen.

Mgtow is meaningless if one does not believe in realities such as gynocentrism and rejecting marriage/ cohabitation. If women aren't that bad at all, why go your own way unless it's a matter of personal choice that has nothing to do with women? From my experience on the subreddit purplepill debate, the vast majority of such men reject mgtow concepts, philosophy and lifestyle. They believe too much in the goodness and innocence of women.

If you're not going to get married, wont cohabitate, and wont mingle your finances with a woman, and instead choose to use the resources that you would have been having to expend on the maintenance of a relationship and using them to do what makes you healthy and happy, then that is what mgtow is.

Why not? If they are woke (hate that term lol) and want to juggle Red Pill knowledge with the rules of the Blue Pill world, then who's to say that's not their own way?

For me, MGTOW means no LTR, No marriage, No cohabitation, no dating, no simping, no white-knighting, no Captn. Save A Ho, no paying for / helping raise another man's kids... basically none of these BS expectations that as a man I'm supposed to fall on my sword for some woman. Especially a woman who's made nothing but a continual and ongoing series of bad life decisions. Not. My. Problem. That's MY definition of MGTOW and it's pretty strict.

I guess a married guy could be laying down some serious "wife game" and consider himself MGTOW. At that point the word loses pretty much all meaning.

But as long as it has meaning TO ME as I DEFINITE it, then.... does it really matter?
