Men are their own worst enemy because they think women have honor. They don't. Falling on your sword for her will get you nowhere. She'll only ask for more. Don't set yourself on fire to keep her warm.

Assuming you've been an involved father, make your hill to die on 50% parenting time. If she doesn't agree, tell her "I'll see you in court." You've got nothing to lose. However, if you haven't been involved (she's been doing the heavy lifting for years), then you aren't getting 50% parenting time. Status quo is the greatest bias of the court.

If divorce is actually happening do not interact with your wife at all. Good practice for after the divorce anyway.

Always take a few notes about your day. I started doing that years ago when divorce looked like a possibility and the notes saved me in court. Wanna know what was happening on February 10th, 2017...sure, I've got that right here. She's claiming that I drove past her house several times on September 14th? That's interesting, I was out of town that day for work.

After the first couple lies came out she lost all credibility in the eyes of the court.

My #1 advice - Never get married in the first place.

There is 0 benefit for men, in this day and age it's merely a financial insurance policy for women that they can invoke at any time for any reason.
