I'm not an "incel" and believe myself to be a feminist but people of this subreddit, I can't be the only one who is noticing the absolute amount of hate against men on social media right? I'm not just over analysing?

Notice men are staying single and not committing in increasing numbers? That's just one example of the results of a "man bad woman good" Feminazi philosophy. Especially on TikTok. I watched one where she re used Donald Trump Jr’s skittles argument for Syrian Refugees, but used men instead. It’s gotten to the point where my sister is a sexist and sees absolutely no problem with hating or discriminating against men. She justifies this by saying it’s not sexist when it’s against a man which could be rephrased as “its only sexist when men do it”. Just the other day she told me she doesn’t want to be around any more men and it just disgusts me. This type of behaviour is normal to her and a bunch of like minded individuals. I believe that social media and worse economic conditions are starting to radicalize people. Some have straight white men as the boogeyman other have it as minorities or immigrants.

As a man...."BM" at that...I feel even more endangered than when "people like me" were being profiled.

It hurts to feel like there's no ladder.

I'm all for women fulfilling their potential...but a she/her co-worker suggested today that we should help women excel at our role and promote based on that..........

Except.....I'm already the only male and only "BM" on a team of three.....so we're all competing to move up.........why lop-side the scales when unnecessary?

This type of fear that I'm facing from all angles is why I'm leaning towards voting for the same politicians we all hated.

If I'm labeled racist or sexist for wanting some equality, then so be it...my family and community need me......and I'm not doing it through cheating.

I'd rather go back to being hated by one group...than all.

It's social media, which means all the worst takes bubble up to the top. Do feminazis exist? Yes. Are there a lot of them? Yes. Are they a majority or even a plurality of feminists? No, they just scream the loudest and get signal-boosted by conservatives pretending they represent all of feminism.

Can anyone explain what's going on?.

This is the result of these ideas that have been in academia for some time.

1) Conflict theory. Conflict theory is the idea that social change occurs when oppressed people rise up against their oppressors. Understanding the world through conflict theory means casting different groups as either oppressors or oppressed. In this case, men (as a group) are seen as oppressors, and women are oppressed.

2) Critical Theory. This is the idea that people in power (oppressors) retain their power by controlling language and culture. It sees everything as either helping oppressed people or helping oppressors. Overthrowing the oppressors is done by disrupting and dismantling the language and culture of the oppressors.

What this means is that Critical Theorists are always looking for oppression and ways to disrupt and dismantle it. It's an unhealthy paranoid view of the world, where everything is sexist/racist etc. Critical theorists don't have any solutions to problems other than breaking the systems of oppression and see what happens.

As a result, man-hating is seen as a way to disrupt and dismantle patriarchal oppression.

After all, they think that if you support men, you are supporting the oppressors.

People in the wider population have absorbed these ideas. They might not even know it. They are memes, in the original meaning of the term.
