One key thing to realize is that as a guy, when your guy friends get into relationships, if they aren't overly attached to their partners, they will remain friends with you and continue to maintain that connection.

I've personally known many instances where a girl abandons her male friends when they've gotten into relationships. Why? Their attention is no longer needed. Only when the relationship goes bad do they come back. That's not friendship, that's a safety net. But even then, there will be some females who remain friends to get both their partner and their friend's attentions.

Of course, some will argue that there are some good female friends. I don't doubt this but I am left to believe that they are statistical outliers and not the norm.

Their world is too sexualised, there's not enough character building.

I love funny chicks. I love intellectual chicks. I love chicks who are either of those things and don't feel naturally fucking adverse to just talking to me because I have a cock.

That shit is rare, but those girls are gems. Those are the girls every guy wants to fucking wife up and develops a oneitis for. It sucks, because, I know plenty of intellectual/funny guys and they get nowhere nearly close as lusted for by girls or even respected by guys for these traits, but if a chick has those traits WHOA, big deal!

Different attraction switches I guess, plus those traits are somewhat more common in men, although I would not say they are common definitively, just versus women. Hypergamy and all that shit.

I'm going to disagree with this. My best female friends are not and will never be as close to me as my best male friends, but that doesn't mean their company is worthless. They share several of my interests between them and usually have things to add to the conversation. One of them even pays my way sometimes, and the rest don't take from me without giving back. It also helps that I don't find any of them very attractive (enough to bang once or twice if they threw themselves at me, but not enough for me to put effort into going after them).

You're hanging out with the wrong girls. Girls I know always bring things to table. Given, in my limited experience the biggest givers are guys, but that doesn't mean that the girls I know aren't pulling their weight. That just means that some of the guys I know are going way out of their way for people.

Interesting point. I never thought about it that way but I guess you're right. If women can't really "do" anything else than having sex and talking a lot, it's no wonder girls all hate each other, considering most of them don't have sex with other girls.

I don't know about that. The women friends I keep around can hold their own in a conversation, pays for all their own shit, and provide very interesting viewpoints on different subjects. Plus, they're easy on the eyes. They make great wing-men sometimes, and gives me practice shit-tests.

Now, mind you, these are all women that I've mentally nexted, but I do practice escalation just to keep things interesting and in case the change their mind.

I wish. In my experience all they do is sap your energy and resources with a sense of entitlement to which they seem to be completely oblivious. I don't and I don't want to have any female friends. They just subtract.

It's weird; I've noticed women massively drop their friends if they get into a serious relationship and only become closer to them if it's going badly, it's like the majority of them are only really able to see the idea of friendship within the context of "Do I need this person and what can I take from him/her" rather than actual long-term loyalty and caring for the other person selflessly.

In fact I know that women are genuinely shocked when they hear their beta orbiters getting angry that she didn't choose to be with him, maybe they assume that men are the same and thought that the beta orbiter was genuinely happy with the relationship dynamic.

Girls make good friends of a different type. No, they will not jump on a grenade in 'Nam for you, spot you and thump your chest in celebration of your first 3-plate bench, but they do bring something to the table.

Guy friends typically are what they are. You have a guy friend who winds up as a whipped, fat, lazy boring type, then that's just what he likely always will be. Girl friends are way more malleable - you can influence them and basically transform them into ideal friend. Typically these girls have some beta orbiter traits that guys have, ie you dictate reality to them, and they tend to validate you. I've gotten 2 of my girl friends off of smoking, onto fitness, etc. Guy friends are like brick walls - I mean, think about it, how well did introducing your guy friends to TRP or pick up go? Hang around a girl enough though and your TRP ideas will essentially osmosis into her head.

Additionally, most female friends (of an alpha guy) are waiting in line to jump your bones, but just don't think you are interested in them. And if you have a GF, these orbiting female friends will ensure that your GF is always doing acrobatic shit in the bedroom.

So yeah, they are not necessarily selfless friends in the way me and my brother-from-another-mother might be. In the prisoner game theory situation, they would rat you out in a heartbeat. But they can add a lot of value to your life and be flat out fun. I love going hiking, but I can't take my bros with me, because they are city people and I could never get them to change that and appreciate climbing beautiful shit. But I could take your most prissy city girl and get her in love with hiking after a few weeks of it, and she would actually be decent company once she realized that we had the potential to make hiking fun if she just trusts me.

No shit, commander. Girl friends have their uses, though: they won't help you fix a car, but they can cook or bake you something, or help get your place in order after a party, etc.
