Look at how they gaslight you. When you bring up MGM, they say it's not an issue at all and it isn't even bad. When you bring up MGM with respect to FGM, they say, "NoBody SaYs MgM iS goOd, YOu Are JuST bEiNG iNSeCuRe thAt oThER woRse PrOblEms arE gEtTinG AtTenTiOn". So they admit MGM is bad, but in both cases, they just don't want you to talk about it and advocate for it. I just feel bad for all the boys who get cut at birth for no sane reason at all. The more I see this the more I think it’s not a winnable battle. Here’s why: They do this shit to you when you’re a baby for a reason. Could they ever come at a grown man with a knife trying to mutilate his manhood? Of course not. They do it when you’re a baby and then when you point out the problems with it they’ll say “women in the Middle East have it worse” or “man up and quit complaining” or “lol you insecure about your dick?”

Men aren’t taking this shit anymore. When reality is a constant beating and you’re not allowed to do or say anything, this is what happens. I can see it. Why do they see mentioning the fact MGM is still legal in western countries somehow a threat to women? I don’t see anyone stating that MGM is worse? Once again bringing up men’s issues is regarded as “whining” and taking away from discourse about women’s issues - who says we can’t talk about both?

The difference between FGM and MGM is that FGM has a historical background in 3rd world countries, while MGM is also prevalent in the west. This does not absolve it, it's very harmful, but it does explain a lot of the pushback against any protest about it.

And how is cutting the genitals of your kid just for the sake of ideology not child abuse? Hell, yelling at your kid could be viewed as child abuse, but cutting them isn't?

And what physical implications? The physical implications that reduce sensitivity and increase the likelihood of ED? Or the risk of botched surgeries? How are those physical implications positive?

And then social implications? You mean peer pressure? So how is that fine for MGM, but not for FGM?

This might get me downvoted to hell, but here goes. As a person who studies religions, I completely understand MGM remaining legal especially for devout Jews as circumcision is part of the old testament law pertaining to maintaining the covenant with God. more or less circumcision is part of getting to the afterlife in certain jewish cultures
