The problem that needs to be addressed is that even if you want to believe there is a “patriarchy” in effect, it’s necessary to understand men don’t gain any benefits by being the same gender as the people in charge. The problem isn’t caused by gender like they so desperately want to believe it is, but by a difference in class and empathy. At least, that’s my understanding of it.

Same in my country. Many companies won't hire you if you haven't done your military time. Usually right when you graduate from uni, you have to leave for 9 months. Some people choose to do it after high school.

Also if you are a little late to cancel your postponement of duty and miss your first window to join, then you have to wait for 3-4 months to join the next batch, in which time you could only work some temp job, like server or delivery man, etc. Who would hire someone who has to leave in 3 months?

They should at least be paying minimum wage for it, but no, we get 8€ per month, lol.

The mistake feminists always make about the patriarchy i think is down to projection. They assume that men would make civilization structured with the primary goal of benefitting them as if feminists were in charge that's what they would do.

But men aren't women, so the men at the top didn't do that.

In the country where I live we never had conscription. Our army is ' professional' in the sense that only those who want a career in the army can apply to join. They earn a salary according to their grade. But in neighbouring countries there is conscription and taking Switzerland as an example all males are conscripted when they reach the age of majority while females may volunteer for any position.

Women generally do better in the education system than men. Women's careers start to fall behind their male equivalents after they leave school and enter the workforce. So saying that holding the men back after school will allow the women to "catch up." doesn't make much sense, because women don't fall behind in terms of their careers until after they leave school.
