Does reading TRP give any of you others serious anxiety?

TRP isn't a museum of Alphas, but mostly a hospital for Betas and broken men. At any given moment, a large percentage of the posters are early in their RP journey and venting their anger and ineptitude freely in a locker room environment. That's why we made this portal from the AskTRP sidebar, to debrief women who manage to land at TRP first.

Once you've slid down the learning curve of female RP sexual strategy, you'll be better equipped to sort the gold from the ore at TRP if you choose to venture there. One thing that helps is to read the submissions of endorsed contributors.

I don't regularly read it, mostly just pop in when there are no fresh posts in the subs I follow and I do find it interesting to read masculine perspectives from time to time. That being said, no, it doesn't give me anxiety. I'm glad men have a place to go and discuss these things, support each other, learn and grow. If anything, it makes me sad to see the examples of how women have been so cruel to these men.

I posted a comment on another thread of how it also sounds very exhausting. It feels like the men are constantly vigilant to maintain frame and don't let their guard down for fear of getting hurt. I'm also astonished at how many of them are working to repair relationships with women who seem to not be attracted to them at all. I mean, these guys can't be that unattractive, yet why are their wives/GFs so mean to them!?! It boggles my mind but maybe I live under a rock/have nice friends who don't complain about their men.

I agree that it's a sub for men so I don't post there or comment. It's great inspiration for me though to be an even better wife to my husband, sister to my brothers, and generally nice person to the men in the my life. If it causes anxiety in you, I'd say take a break from it for a while/stop reading altogether.

The males in trp are not normal or even well adjusted. You won't find many that are captain material there.

I rarely go over there simply because it's filled with some good advice and mostly rants and field reports from men who recently swallowed the pill and are at early stages where most of their anger comes out.

Also it's not a wormhole about how men think, it's a wormhole about how red pill men think. Most men who do not frequent the sub will react in a positive powerful and alpha way we women apply the advice given on this sub, yet will recoil at whatever the red pill men sub says.

Don't forget we are both working on our games, so when red pill women aim for commitment, their game is more focused on obtaining sex.

Don't get anxious about it, your goal is to avoid being plated or used and you've got enough advice about that here. Not all men will go red pill on you just as not all women will enjoy our advice.

Well at least this is how I view it. It's their thing, nothing I have to worry or be anxious about because if I was single, I wouldn't cave in to their game simply by following rpw game.

I really feel like a lot of the RedPillWomen and surrendered women philosophy is completely different than TRP. Where we focus on relationships and supporting each other, a lot of TRP culture tends to focus on hooking up and women being inferior (not just different or choosing to be submissive). It just seems so much more...negative. I do read it, and I know that the Reddit bunch is not indicative of the community as a whole...but I agree that it's upsetting at times.

For every guy that comments there are probably 10 lurkers who enjoy reading and understand red pill strategy and aren't in a rage phase. Remember it's just information and what guys do with it is different for every guy, there are plenty of RP men who genuinely don't just want to spin plates or have lots of casual sex. These are the guys you probably don't hear from.

I read their stuff from time to time, but I don't let it get to me. If anything, it can provide a lot of insight into some of the bad habits I have that I wouldn't have become aware of on my own (hamstering/AWALT). I think it's important to remember that TRP is an important resource for men that have fallen on hard times; it shouldn't be reflective of the larger majority of men. My SO started out on that sub when he was younger, and I'm grateful that he did because it helped mold him into the wonderful man he is today. I'm not suggesting that you date TRP men or anything of the sort--I'm only suggesting that we of the fairer sex should be compassionate to what the other half is going through.

It's a mixed bag for me. I've found it touching how many young guys develop "oneitis" and how, over on MPR, there are men trying desperately to attract their wives when frankly it sounds like their wives can't stand them!

But there is a lot of misogyny, too. And maybe a bit of hypocrisy -- men seem happy to think it's only natural for them to be promiscuous and spread their seed, yet they're critical of female hypergamy? Aren't they the opposite sides of the same coin (evolutionary strategy)?

I do read it but mostly for the theory and financial/business advice you can sometime find there.

But I don't feel any anxiety.

But that sub is for men, we don't really have any right to be there.

I sometimes read it, but most of it I cannot take seriously. It usually goes like 'I went to a bar and hooked up with a stripper and she turned out to be slutty, AWALT!'

There's some decent insigt from the older members though.

I also find it interesting that most topics here are questions for advice, and most topics there are rants, theories and reports. A nice reflection of female vs male nature :)

I agree you need to as a woman, experience what it's like being a plate atleast once. Because without knowing you don't enjoy the feeling of being one, you can never appreciate being in a LTR right off the bat. You'll constantly feel FOMO. You'll wonder if you should be at parties hooking up with guys or if you could do better. You'll see your man as beta and as you just settling. You really need to see the worst out there to realise that what you settled with was the best. Because if you don't look over the tall fence, you'll always feel that maybe the grass is always greener on the other side, no matter how much you water yours.

Here is my take,

One of the basics of the TRP core values is to improve fitness and diet. Also to reevaluate your current relationship, friendships, interactions, your family, your choices, etc.

Getting a testosterone kick, plus having the wool pulled away from your eyes can be jarring as a guy.

My observation is the "anger phase" never goes away, it simply becomes something one has to manage with an ebb and flow of time and progress. Sometimes, I do, in private, get angry. Mostly it's anger at myself. And there are so few acceptable social outlets for men to express their anger. There is almost no social method to express your anger at a woman, and this is compounded when clearly anger is an emotionally healthy response.

Imagine if every time you cried, you had all your food taken from you for a week. To me, this is the best example I can make of what it's like to be a guy and to face the idea of showing any kind of open weakness. People might not say something overtly to you, but people with draw from you, and often I think that's worse.

Sometimes the only real source of basic empathy for most men come from their romantic relationships, and when that is taken from him, it's like being gutted. Being cheated on, being the victim of branchswinging, being nagged, being unappreciated, it's all being gutted like a fish.

Maybe this is a perspective that will help = The anger I see is like a last gasp grab at hope. The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. And when a man finally becomes numb and indifferent, he's come to terms that with women, the juice is not worth the squeeze. Once a guy gets there, usually there is no turning back. I would try not to see the anger at face value, but more an expression of loss and a deep desire for something better, something more ideal, that you know will never come. I used to think feeling the anger was the worst thing, no, realizing you'll never be angry again about it, and that hope died there with it, that's the worst thing.

I guess it's hard to relate to RPW sometimes because So many of you ladies are in stable relationship and TRP feels like what I'm going through (bettering myself, "plating" and dating, studying at school etc.) I find it easier to relate to somehow

TRP has 190,000+ subscribers. The world has over a billion (1,000,000,000+) of men. Its mainly a wormhole into modern pick-up art, not necessarily a perfect mental wormhole into the majority of men.

I don't read it. Oddly enough I don't really like talking to RP men and find many of the ones who frequent RP sites to be a little messed up. Often they're bitter betas.
