It’s easy to show simple numbers. Their business is also dependent on public perception. They can choose to renegotiate player contracts and in the contract have language that increases their pay a lot while they are in the black. Sort of like a commission based plan but based on more than winning and losing. Include all income streams. It would cap out of course, but it could theoretically bring current opponents of the league into the fold.

I have one question (not being cheeky), one of their arguments (and I do sincerely agree with this!) is that they play just as hard and aren’t really any less entertaining than men’s soccer. I do NOT have an argument against this. I really really don’t.

Here is where I am stuck at a crossroads: they are as entertaining and 99% of the dudes who go to soccer games and generate the revenue for men’s soccer have women in their lives (mothers, daughters, wifes, gfs etc) so if these women bought / asked for tickets etc for the womens games, how many of these dudes would turn them down?

I know soccer fans and if anyone in their circle wanted to go with them / watch a proper women’s game I’d say a large majority would be happy to do so. So while I understand that women soccer players want to earn more maybe the way would be to engage women to be more proactive.

As far as I can tell at this point the only reason these women don’t earn “enough” is because the other women don’t give a fuck and aren’t supportive. And that’s fine, but then don’t drag men into this pls. It’s dishonest.
