I'd recommend you move to a different area. You'll want to stick to big cities in the midwest. I'd suggest Salt Lake City, Dallas, or Denver.

As a fellow Southern Californian, I think your goals are totally attainable here. Orange County, for example, is rife with high quality men that will be looking to settle down soon. Many were raised in OC, a suburb that is very conservative and family-oriented.

How to go about meeting these men is a tougher call—I got lucky in that I met my Captain in grad school, which is a great place to meet men, because class discussions often forced people to say things that revealed a lot about their values. Maybe try to volunteer doing something for a cause you’re passionate about. The people you meet there will automatically have one thing in common with you. Or—honestly, Tinder isn’t horrible out here as long as you are up front about your goals and savvy enough to weed out guys who are just looking for plates. It expands the pool you have to choose from significantly, and, anecdotally, there are a lot of men here (especially near UCLA and USC) who are on Tinder for pretty reasonable reasons. (Ie they are committed to a demanding 8 year program and don’t want to be a 33 year old, lonely, sad doctor when they’re done with it).

From what I’ve seen, the #1 reason these conservative men won’t want to settle down at 24 is that it takes longer in So Cal to be financially ready to support a family because of the high cost of living. I didn’t get married until I was a little older (27), but I thought it was worth the wait. So Cal is a great place.

TL;dr: don’t give up just yet. So Cal is big, and there are plenty of conservative pockets.

Edit: Bumble is probably better than Tinder here, because on Bumble you control the terms of engagement a little more, so guys who are looking for something low effort are less likely to use it.

Southern California is one of the hardest places to date because it is literally the mecca for beautiful women. The most gorgeous ladies from around the world will move there and so it can be a very distracting place for all men, and a place where high quality men can be very, very choosy.

If you want to stay in Southern California I would say you’re going to need to lower your physical standards a bit. I’d suggest going to sports games, taking opportunities to attend social events with friends, and maybe join an outdoors meetup group.

A lot of the great guys I know in Los Angeles are attorneys, so if you have any kind of social connection that would put you in the sphere of lawyers then that may be a good place to start.

Not to be crude you mentioned going to DnD meet ups for dating, but want someone conservative. Maybe change to something that's not DnD meet ups.

There's nothing wrong with DnD but many of the types of men who end up in those circles usually aren't going to approach you even if they are interested. Also, anecdotally, that's an easy way to end up with a ton of liberally minded beta orbiter types, which could deter a high quality potential mate.

Again. Not saying that all men who like DnD are like this, but not going to lie, I've been to several DnD parties where the overwhelming side conversation is negativity towards women they have too much approach anxiety about, never told her they were interested, and got angry when she started dating some other dude. YMMV, but generally around this subreddit that's red flag behavior and covert contracts.

Remove the sedentary activities and technology related stuff like gaming and join meetups that put you with people to interact with. Church. Volunteer. Hike. Indoor climbing. Fitness classes. Yoga. The gym. Hang out in coffee shops. Take an art class. Learn a language. Take a cooking class.

I met a few conservatives in my DnD group. They weren’t the most alpha, but they shared my values which was nice. I do agree with you though. I just can’t think of anywhere conservative men would be.
