I don't hear women say sorry very often, and when I do hear it, they're telling another woman.

Women do not apologize to men, this is just some weird hallucination.

Seriously, this is just deranged. If I bump in to someone, I apologize. I don't spend the rest of my day thinking "Dammit, why I am so weak! I should've been an asshole to that person instead!" - and I'm pretty sure everyone would think I was an asshole if that's how I behaved.

When? Women don't even attempt to make space when walking anywhere indoors or out! They expect men to make way, and they do!

I've never heard a woman apologise for being in a space. Whereas men aren't allowed to: sit, congregate, have hobbies, be white, be around children, talk to women, look at women, be successful, be short, have any kind of preference or opinion, almost nothing without derision or scorn from women!

I have a female friend who does this and we constantly have to tell her to stop apologizing. I don’t se how that’s a culture thing tho, it’s just how some people are. Same way some people are shy, some people like sports, etc.

Stop trying to deny this wonderful feminist her victimhood. When other people apologise, just because they are well mannered, even when it is not their fault, that is the evil patriarchy at work. When this feminist does it, that’s the evil patriarchy at work. Totally different.

Whenever an interaction occurs that is awkward, I apologise. Not in a ‘I’m beneath you way’, but in a ‘I’m going to neutralise this situation’ kind of a way. It’s polite, it’s extending a courtesy that makes the interaction not an issue.

I do not meet many women that do this.

Who boards elevators first? Who gets on the subway first? Who is allowed to board the bus first? Who boards the escalator first? Who makes way for whom on the sidewalk?

This is a tendency of highly agreeable people, and women are more likely to be agreeable.

Being hyperagreeable will not help you get far business wise so if you know a woman (or less likely a man... there are still highly agreeable men but it’s rarer) and you are in a mentorship role over them, you should encourage them to apologize less. But it’s certainly not sexism that this happens. And if nothing else, this is really something women should look at themselves and fix if it’s an issue. Men don’t need to come into this at all, and screaming at them is becoming progressively more useless by the second

I do not see anything wrong there, if a person has to apologize for occupying a space it must stop.

Obvious it seems to me uncommon but there will be cases and I do not see anything bad in exposing these cases.
