Eh, this same exact subject has been reposted to at least AskWomen, AskMen, AskWomenOver30, relationships, relationship_advice, india, TRP, TBP, and now TwoXChromosomes. I think that's it? It's just getting too sad now.

I already wrote my "you reap what you sow" rant on this matter: frankly, a lot of women need to learn to plan ahead or learn to take responsibility for themselves; because the rest of society has been taught to be ultra-sensitive, politically correct around them. Treat them as china dolls. This is what happens.

You get girls (and yes boys too), some of them like that Indian girl who come from cultures that explicitly lay out simple roadmaps through life... pluck them from that culture and toss them into the wild, wild Western wilderness where they essentially have no guides, where even native Westerners often have a hard time finding themselves,

because everyone's a fucking individual and no one is allowed tell anyone else what to do because it's offensive.

This is our culture. It's capitalist. It's competitive. It's wild and free. It's sink or swim.

That's my rant. I know it's very beta of me, but I can only pity her now (despite her bitter, hypocritical, and insulting rants against Indian males). She is responsible for herself and I wouldn't ever say otherwise, but she is also one of the victims of this fantastic/unrealistic, hypersensitive postmodernism. This is what happens when you censor real talk.

An Indian guy in /r/AskMen showed up and just served her the most cold piece of reality that she will ever hear from anyone. This comment is too fucking good not to share and it sounds like it could have come from someone in TRP.

I'm a 26 year old Indian guy studying in the US, and I really hope you don't take this the wrong way, but from my point of view, here's what I think.

Throughout my whole life I never really dated any Indian guys; I exclusively dated white guys. However now I realize more than ever that the guys I dated never really took me seriously. They never really viewed me as someone they would eventually marry. I was always just some exotic fun. This part was definitely a realization that has hurt me to the core. I didn't actually do it to spite Indian men or anything like that. I did what a lot of my white female friends did; I thought I was the same as them, but that could be farther from the truth. Most white guys I ran into wanted white wives.

When I read this, I'm sorry to say I don't really have any sympathy. Right now, I see the same thing happening with most of the Indian girls who I talk to.

I'm not conservative by any means, and I'm not interested in an arranged marriage either. In fact, I'm spending my mid 20's working in grad school towards a PhD in an engineering field. As a consequence, I simply don't have the time to hit the bars every weekend, go to too many parties, or socialize as much as other men my age. Given that, it's pretty clear to me that the attractive Indian women my age definitely prefer white guys to someone like me.

I was always just some exotic fun.

This is frustrating to hear, because that is exactly what I think most Indian girls think about white guys as well. In fact, I get dates much easier with american women, or other international girls, than Indian girls. Where are the girls like you when I'm in my mid-20s?

I don't mean this to be hurtful to you, but the reality is that, as I grow older, I know that I once I finish grad school, I will be earning a very respectable salary, be financially well-employed, etc. In fact, I can already see more interest from women my age just because of this.

Let's say I hit my 30s. Then, given my options, why would I be interested in settling down with a 32 year old woman who ignored men like me in her 20s, with a rich history with a whole bunch of other guys, and is now looking to settle down? You must realize that it's simply not an attractive option to me; I'd rather seriously date younger women, and believe me there are more and more of them as I grow older. I feel like you're trying to have your cake and eat it too. You've had great fun in your 20s and now are looking to settle down with an Indian guy with good career/family prospects. You must realize that guys like me can see this coming from a mile away! We're not suckers or absolute morons.

Also, I don't think being Indian/or a virgin,etc. has too much to do with these things or bothers liberal Indian men too much. I'm also equally comfortable dating an American, Indian or any other woman.

However, I must admit the thought of someone having fun in her twenties with a large number of sexual partners is simply not appealing to me; that's not the woman I'm looking for a long term relationship. Of course, this is only my point of view, but something I can see other Indian men my age sharing.

What bothers me most about this is 2 things: 1) "...men will only judge her by her appearance and youth." Ok we're all aware than men look to younger women for a variety of reasons. What's really aggregious here is this next statement, "I have to go a huge step down in attractiveness to make up for the fact that I am Indian." I can appreciate that if that's the only reason you have to 'step down in attractiveness' it feels unfair. But why should a man have to 'step down' to your attractiveness? I'm not talking about the Indian part because that's just a matter of taste. She's crying about how men should compromise for her but she shouldn't have to compromise herself. It's bullshit and insulting. 2) Women receive sexual attention from a very early age relative to men. They have almost a dozen years worth of sexual attention on men. So men, meanwhile, are being pumped by testosterone and can hardly keep their pants on while getting completely disregarded by most women. So I'm unsympathetic that now she's "past her prime" men don't pay attention to her. Women don't pay attention to most men in their prime. It takes a most men years to gain status before women even begin looking at them. This isn't a case of feminism destroying women. This is a case of a hypocritical woman with no insight into her situation. I'm not saying she needed to settle down before now in order to reap the rewards of long-commitment. But it sure as fuck would have helped her not be so godamn whiny about how life's unfair to her.
