MGTOW are a diverse bunch: It’s true some are angry but most are just happy they have realised they don’t have to buy into marriage - A lot of posts are about dudes relaxing in amazing places. The top post now is a MGHOW in Cayman Island.

Like it or not, it’s a worldwide movement that’s only going to grow.

I am a firm believer in the idea that the Men's Rights movement should also actively support women's rights. Feminists got it wrong when they actively tried to put men down; we should do the right thing and support ALL rights. (Focus on men, yes, but not at the expense of others)

If you're honest, they are more so giving MGTOW a bad name, and if I understand correctly - a MGTOW is disinterested in what they think of him.

If enough MGTOW decide to give a shit about it, they certainly have some strong thinkers and masterful rhetoricians among them who could clean the place up if they so choose.

there will always be those who advise "Do not listen to men's rights activists if you want to know what they have to say" and those eger to believe whatever they are told.

Anyone who goes looking for men's rights activists on reddit will find THIS place, it's called MensRights, and that seems pretty clear.

Wow. Is this what "MensRights" has come to? I have been gone for a while, so should have seen this coming.

Is there anyplace men can escape this constant shaming, bullying, hate speech against men and male groups? MGTOW is not for you, so stay away - Just like I stay away from female-oriented subs.

"Those people" are less of a threat to Mens Rights than you are. I know you are not capable of seeing that - unless you know it and are just playing games - but you need to get out and take a walk.

Men SHOULD go their own way. And if women are capable of crapping on men all over reddit and the MSM day in and day out, then young men can have a subreddit or two to do the same thing. Leave them alone.

They were rejected by girls and women and began to internalize that feeling. They don’t often have close friends to pull them back and pick them up again. They live life going through standard things and routine, not completely sure of where they should take themselves.

As a young man who isolated himself to some degree from his peers, I understand their loneliness somewhat. When you make yourself so vulnerable, you can be influenced by anyone trying to help you. It can happen to anyone.

When I was little, I used to have an irrational fear that my parents might disown me if I told them I was gay. It was completely unfounded when I finally came out to them at 14 and they didn’t change how they felt about me, but it was a fear I still had. No one can tell what I was thinking, but my parents often claimed that they would be accepting regardless.

I was unconvinced for a few years since I had told myself that people were unpredictable, and it was best to play it safe. However, I was given a chance to be reassured nonetheless. When I see people who are homophobic and put people like me down, I used to be afraid of them, but now I know they’re simply misguided and only are doing what they think is right. I still want them to change, however. Do you think Incels feel the same? I think it’s rarer to find a person who sees them this way than it is to find someone who is homophobic in the states, but that’s just my perspective.

Finally, another very important point that Prim makes in her video: how do you think society treats a girl who has these same feelings? Thanks to feminism, she has a group that she feels she can belong to. The MGTOW equivalent is probably almost political lesbianism, but only for the more extreme MGTOWs.

Regardless, these people are just being left to do what they will, without any kind of intervention. If we’re going to fix this issue, then they’ll need caring, support, and guidance. A sort of social rehabilitation. And for the men, they need to know society and the law cares about them too, which it doesn’t really appear to right now.

Well, that's one view on it. It has some merit, IMHO.

But, the single reason that MGTOW holds value for men is that it tells men not to marry or live with women. Something like 50% of marriages end in divorce (2nd time around even higher), with women initiating around 70% of them. Then the man loses his home, his children, half his wealth, and a significant portion of his income. In no other area of life would a sensible person take on that much risk.

"You have to be special kind of insane to think you're god's gift to women and that women somehow owe you sexual favours for you doing anything for them." Actually, MGTOW holds the position that men are fools to accept women as God's gift to men, or to trade a life of servitude for sex. They're saying that the sex is nowhere near worth the trouble, effort, time, and money that it costs men to get. They call that monk mode. Others still desire sex, but are very wary of what women want to trade for it. MGTOW tells us over and over again that sex is power for women only if men let it be.

Incels. A major faction of MGTOWs are for voluntarily avoiding all that comes with pursuing women. I'm sure some incels see themselves as MGTOW. But, I'm also sure that women would rather think that all MGTOWs are incels who simply can't get a woman, instead of looking at why relationships with women aren't as fulfilling as women tell themselves they are.

There IS truth to the OP's post. There's nowhere that I've ever seen more misogyny. But, MGTOW men DO have things of value to offer, and I'd advise other men to check it out for themselves...and most especially if you've simply had it with women shitting on men. Aside from their viewpoint on marriage, the single thing I like best about MGTOW is that it's the antidote to the things I keep seeing women say about men. Don't like us? Fine. I'll go spend my efforts elsewhere, and make my life better than ever.
