I've been reading more and more about men's rights and I've truly seen the blatant sexism and inequality of men against women. While I'm not against feminism, I am passionate about equal rights for both genders. I've been noticing more and more subtle sexism around my high school- guys hugging friend girls (not girlfriends) is seen as "gross", "weird", and "just wrong" (straight from the mouths of girls around my school) while girls hugging guy friends is "cute", "sweet", and "endearing". When I try to talk to my friends about it they think I'm some kind of incel, and when I talk to my "feminist" friends about the issue of men's rights and how women aren't really the oppressed gender they make themselves out to be, they call me "misogynistic" and "intolerant of women's rights". I understand Men's Rights is sort of controversial and not too many people support it, but all I want is true men's rights, not a society where women expect to have double the privileges a man has. I'm tired of the "pussy pass" and I want a world where men are not looked down upon, but rather, seen as equals.
