The okc business model views males and females differently.

Primarily, females are seen as the product while males are seen as potential paying customers.

In order to acquire product (females) they must attract it. They do so by offering a convenient and pleasurable experience to females: free search filters, dopamine hits and boosts to their self-esteem by having them receive lots of praise and unsolicited messages filled with compliments.

Now that they have product, they can lure potential customers (males) and offer a chance for them to interact, while exacting money from key tactical sources, like paid filters.

The OkC business model is designed for revenue generation and competitiveness with rival apps. The model has no need to consider notions of fairness that are not written into law.

The lopsidedness of the filters is a carefully balanced component of their business model: it keeps the product (females) happy, while generating revenue from paying customers (males).

Men should object strongly to the evils of heightism and walletism; they are indeed MR issues.

In the interim, dating sites which ask men's height and income should also allow men to ask (and screen by) women's BMI and bust measurements. Goose, gander.

This really isn't about men's rights as it doesn't trespass over any legal boundaries. Moreover, you've already provided the easy solution which is to lie about your height. We also don't have to use a private service like OK Cupid, and they can set their own rules. Besides, if you want to get laid without paying, use Myspace or Tinder.

How would a bunch of guys listing the wrong height possibly motivate OKCupid to change policies? People already lie about things or leave their profiles blank or don't have pictures; you're not really going to stick out from the crowd or do any harm to OkCupid. So you'll annoy some women who might potentially be interested but don't want to date someone who plays games. That's really the only effect this will have. I mean, go ahead, if you want, but acting like this is some sort of valiant movement is ridiculous.

You should pay as much as possible for a dating service to separate yourself from the riff raff, welfare queens, people who cant get a credit card are going to be TROUBLE.

Sign up for match or chemistry( pay sites) and comare the people to plenty of fish - you will see the free sites have all the neck tatt losers.

You get what you pay for.

Yea... cause that fatty that posts those pictures of her 100 lbs ago is not misleading and deceptive at all. If you are looking for friends, then make sure you post your actual height in your profile, so that anyone who reads it will know you're not a dwarf (and perhaps also post the reason why, so they know the type of person you are)...
