If a man wants to “communicate” and “talk things out” fewer than 3 months into dating, this is a GLARING red flag. You haven’t been seeing each other long enough for any issues that require communication to come up. 9 times out of 10, men who do this are trying to renegotiate your standards while convincing you that they are HVM due to their “good communication”. Don’t even give them the chance.
E.g: A month and a half into dating a certain man, you realize he has been late to three dates. You go to inform him that you’re no longer interested, but he insists that you’re being rash and immature and asks you to “talk it out”. DON’T DO IT. He has already shown you his character by showing up late, so there is nothing to gain from hearing “his side of the story” except for possible manipulation, lies, excuses, and promises that may convince you to “give him a chance” despite his failure to meet your base standards. Don’t put yourself at risk for that.
