lmao when she says how young girls arent encouraged to play chess because its "not cool" for girls to play chess. what fucking world does she live in where male chess players are considered cool? chess club being a cesspool of dorks is the oldest stereotype in the book. i went through a chess phase when i was younger. i sure as shit didnt think it was "cool", my young naive self thought the exact opposite. i thought playing chess was one of the least cool things you could do but I did it anyway because I liked it. apparently she doesnt believe young women are capable of doing the same.

Does anyone else find it really annoying that Sky News even lets people on if they don't have any scientific counter arguments? The reason Milo is so entertaining is because he gives arguments based in reason. It would actually be really interesting to see him go up against someone with some credibility, rather than just someone who responds to every argument with "well I feel you're wrong but have no evidence to back myself up". If I wanted some uninformed opinion I don't need to watch the news, I could just ask anyone what they think.

It might be true that men are better than women at chess overall, I have no idea, but that doesn't mean that a given woman can't whoop a given man's arse at the game; it doesn't give us an excuse to prejudge! (Not to mention that that's a really shitty thing to do anyway.)
