I have no clue where the argument of "Well women are afraid every time they walk down the street!" Comes from. Men are 11 times more likely to be a victim of a violent crime, especially street crimes like muggings.

I'd worry about how the people who know or find out will begin to treat or look at me when I say I've been to jail. I'd worry that I wouldn't be able to get a job, and even if I did, that it would pay well enough to properly take care of myself.

A man in prison is much more likely to be the victim of rape than a woman on a college campus, which is especially bad considering which of those groups is under the legal care and protection of the state. Whenever anyone starts talking about the 'campus rape problem' I respond with "first, we need to address the prison rape problem".

I don't fear rape the most going to prison. I fear being murdered in there or coming out and never integrating into society. Two things that men should fear much much more than women.

Ok, I'm back as promised in another reply. After some lazy Google-fu, one conclusion I've come to is that the female to male study ratio is tremendously skewed. To get any real numbers, I'd have to delve into the realm of algebra, and feminists are simply not worth my algebraic time. If my numbers aren't exact, I don't care. You get the idea, and that's all the time I'm putting into it.

So, from what I irritatingly pulled together, men are roughly 49.2% - 49.6% of the population, with just 2.8% in prison. So what they are expecting me to buy is that what they fear most about walking around on the sidewalk is the remaining 97.2% of the male population that has not been convicted of violent crime. On the other hand, men in prison have to fear the 100% of the population that they reside with. Also to be noted is that men are more likely to be victims of violent crime in the street than women are.

The fact that they think that this is an adequate comparison is one problem. The other is that they expect us to be responsible for it, while they are the same ones touting what "strong women" they are. Well....which is it, honey? DO something to make yourself feel safe besides being shrill to me. Take a self defense course. Carry a firearm or mace.

A. That they will be separated from their families while living in a violent environment for an extremly long time.

B. That they will be ordered around and have zero freedom.

C. Once they get out they have to start from nothing and build a life.

D. That they may be killed and the state will not only be okay with it but will actively take part in it?

Damn if women feel this way on a regular basis then the problem is definitely not society.

(Yes I know that poster is talking about fear of rape but frankly i think its distasteful to likely women who are free on the streets to the lives of men who literally live and die by the whims of the government. Next they'll be comparing themselves to children because children has so many cool privileges.
