This is fantasy. While women might be made to sign up on paper, there is simply no way in hell theyll be forced to do what men have to and no way in hell theyll go to prison or lose benefits for not signing up. Theyll be "forced" into the easier safer jobs. Equal treatment to men in this area is absolute fantasy.

The "selective service registration" is a rather silly bit of fiction in 2015 anyway. When a male US citizen turns 18, he gets a card in the mail that says "you must register for selective service" and that consists of writing your name, address, and SSN on a card and mailing it back.

The government already has all that information and the "registration" accomplishes nothing beyond adding another layer of bureaucracy.

What I like about this is that it is flushing out the double standards and putting the hypocrisy of feminism in the limelight. It's a no win argument for the them - if feminist are against it then it's misogyny. If they are for it then they risk backlash for putting the coddled little toddlers in boot camp and on the front line. Yeah, Private Benjamin was just a movie.

Fuck this shit. Drafting women is not the answer to drafting men. Doing away with the draft altogether, that's what the US needs to do.
