Regarding domestic violence, women are about as violent as men in relationships ¹ ², but there is no recognition given to male victims. In fact the Duluth model used by law enforcement means that it's the policy of many police departments to arrest the man if they receive a call out to a domestic violence situation, even if he is the victim.

All parts of the legal system (police, courts, support services) are biased against men.
Men have more a more restricted set of behavior considered socially acceptable.
The suffering of women is taken more seriously. Look at news reports of a tragedy. You hear about the victims being "people/children" or "women/girls" but rarely "men/boys". Men's issues are ignored, diminished or even mocked.

Divorce/custody.

Just wait til someone "legally" kidnaps your children and we'll see how long you identify as a feminist. Having your own children ripped out of your life.... I can't begin to explain how horrible this is.

Women have a right to bodily integrity in the west (no genital mutilation at birth, so genital alterations must be consensual).

Men have no such right, and we would like such a right. This is a big deal to many men, and it is frequently understated or dismissed in a way that would not occur if it were women's genitals that were mutilated routinely at birth.

I don't really understand why being male and/or a feminist would imply you are one to bash people at all, blindly or otherwise. So that seems like a really strange thing to declare straight out of the gate.

Also, if you really are a feminist, you should already be aware of many injustices men face.

Women do not have equal status in the military in that their combat roles are limited and they do not register with Selective Services. This is unjust to women, but it is also unjust to men, for reasons I hope are obvious.

If you are a feminist, you should be well aware of the idea of a "rape culture". Normalizing male sexual violence is problematic for men in that our culture comes to view all men and even boys of being (at the very least) potential rapists and pedophiles.

What kind of world do we live in where a man cannot say "I love children" without worrying that people will assume he means "sexually"? What kind of world prevents a man from sitting alone in a park? Doesn't that seem unfair? Should all men be blamed for the crimes of a few?

Our "culture of rape" often doesn't even allow a definition of rape to include even the possibility of a male human being raped by a female one. Claims of abuse/rape by women against boys are dismissed by saying "lucky boy" and "you know he wanted it". Does the victim "wanting it" sound familiar to you? If you are a feminist, it should.

Did you know that a female rapist can demand child support from her victim? Did you know that a female rapist might actually receive less time if she manages to conceive?

It is horrible that women are often considered to be the "emotional", "irrational", and "complicated" gender, but the other side of that is men are often considered to be simple creatures with no emotions at all besides rage and lust.

Men and women are human beings. We all have the right to be recognized as complex rational beings capable of great ranges of emotion. And when we aren't, that is an injustice.

Treating men as if they are lacking in emotion means that less thought is given to sending them off to die in wars. Less effort is made to help them deal with emotion turmoil, leading to higher rates of suicide. It means that the courts consider men to be less capable caregivers.

If you do not want to bash people blindly, try opening your eyes a little. You have access to the internet and a perfectly good human brain. Use them.

Great! OP, as a male feminist: I have heard that feminists want to help men with issues as well, and that men should join the cause. Can you name any male issues that feminists are fighting for?
