Here is the motion.

"We recognise that male violence against women is endemic in society... we have a particular responsibility to confront and challenge male violence against women within our movement."

"We recognise the enormous challenges faced by women victims of male violence, and the pressures which women face, including from abusive men, not to complain about violence and abuse. We therefore believe that, when women complain of male violence within our movement, our trade unions and political organisations should start from a position of believing women."

Translation: men would be assumed guilty until proven innocent.

How can they not understand that UNISON cannot be non prejudicial if the start from the basis that one party is correct? The two sentences cancel each other out.

It's quite telling how obsessed with being believed feminists are considering how often they lie. They want the ability to say anything and have it be taken as gospel but without any sense of morality to prevent them from making up lies in order to hurt others.

They probably wouldn't need to codify "believe me!" if they just told the truth instead of spreading falsehoods in order to get what they want.

They could just as easily say the same things about men abusing women.

I don't entirely understand why this is anti-male. Isn't it standard procedure to believe a person when they report an offense against them, and then follow that up with an investigation that either confirms it or finds evidence against it? You don't just say "I don't believe you and that's that". Perhaps I miss read the article?
