If we don't address the insanity, there are people that will end up buying into the misandry and the distortions of facts and reality. These aren't just lies and slander directed against the men's rights movement but also against all men in general. Staying quiet would cause far more harm than good in the long run.

Here is a sort of funny story from my time in the Navy

The navy is much like high school. If someone says something to one person one time that makes it a true fact. There is no questioning it, or even approaching the person to find out if it is true.

I had this guy who worked for me. He was doing something that was going to cause a lot more work in the future. He was in a bad mood so he just did it anyway to spite me and make me mad. That's the only reason he did it, to make me mad.

I was tired of doing rework because of him and tired of respecting him and helping him out and only getting this attitude. I was tired and didn't want to end up working late. So I went and asked for permission to make him work late and fix it.

he then told someone who then told more people. The word got out that i was a rat. All i had done was look out for this guy and get fed up of him screwing me over, but I'm the bad guy..

So word goes around that I'm a rat. There was this guy who was really lazy, just a real turd. He didn't like me because I actually worked hard and called people out to their faces when they really screwed others over. All I ever did was go out of my way to make life easier on all of us in our department, but here I was.. The rat. But someone had to be the scapegoat. So oh well.

He would always do the same thing. He'd look me up and down in disgust, say my name and then do whatever he was doing. (Let's call him Mike)

So I'm standing in this space by myself quietly sweeping one day. A second class comes in to see if it's clean because we are about to get off so he is checking spaces. There is a door on both sides of this space. A guy comes in and tells the Second class that Mike is sleeping in one of the spaces.

So the second class goes out one door to go check and then Mike just happened to walk in the opposite door. I haven't said a word. He looks me up and down in disgust, and says my name. Then Mike goes up the guy who ratted him out, slaps his hand, and says What's good, Frankie!?

And Frankie says, Just chillin'.

I quietly picked up my dust pile and left.

I never had words for this situation until now. The quote is perfect.

I'm not sure their lies are an overall good thing. It is definitely bringing more people here but we don't know how many people it is turning against us.

Ok, I know this is against internet protocol, but I'm going to use a Nazi analogy.

I'm sure when the Jews before WW2 were being called names, labelled money-changers and unfair profiteers, they figured few would believe it and it only made the Nazis look petty. When they spread lies about the blood libel (that Jews consumed the blood of children), they thought no one could possibly believe such a lie, that it would destroy Nazi credibility. When they were moved into ghettos and forced to wear armbands while their possessions were confiscated, surely someone would see the injustice of it and speak up to end it. And when they were sent to death camps in train car after train car, how could their fellow countrymen turn a blind eye to such horror?

The point is, never trust in people to just automatically believe the truth and do the right thing. Far, far too many can be swayed by lies or will fail to stand up and do the right thing.
