My personal experience was brutal. Unexpected. No indicators. No warning. Lies and false legal accusation. Court battles. The end of 15 wonderful years. I was financially wiped out.
To compound this horrific experience, my search for ANY assistance turned up NOTHING as a man.
I was so tired of “life coaches” reaching out.
Almost EVERY website, divorce support group, podcast, etc…is totally female oriented.
Calling ALL men a “narcissist” seems to be the ONLY defense needed. Once that’s done, that seems to be the only label necessary.
Even organizations CLAIMING to be men’s support or assistance groups are often lawyers in disguise.
My lawyer took full advantage of me. Both sides (lawyers) ramped up the rhetoric to make damned sure our divorce would get nasty.
EVERYONE is profiting off our pain. EVERYONE has an incentive to make sure no resolution is reached.
Why is there no non-profit organization dedicated to the support and mental health of divorcing men? Or even couples?
Why is there no non-profit fighting false accusations and male-bashing rhetoric?
Why is there no non-profit representing men who are being destroyed in the courts by a biased system?
If I had the funds I would found a non-profit to help men all over the nation.
Since divorce is now one of the most common reason for male depression and suicide, this is a MAJOR need!
