It's been almost three years since I found out she cheated on me and confronted her. Of course, then, it became all my fault, and she wanted the divorce. I love where I am in life now and who I have become since. I'm doing what I want to do and knocking off bucket list items like nothing else. Looking back, as much as I didn't want the divorce, I think it was the best thing that could have happened to me. The kids even say that I got better and mom got worse because of our divorce. That's a major win in my book.

I don't have a problem going on dates with women, but I've learned I can't fall in love again. At least, I'm not trusting or becoming emotionally attached nearly as quickly as women are with me. I have days where I miss being loved and other days, where I figure loneliness is a small price to pay for my freedom and that I'll never put myself in that position again. Today was a hard day. One that I wished I could get a hug from a woman who truly cared about me and with whom I felt safe. I don't have that anymore. Has anyone else ever found themselves in the same boat? Will this fade with time, too?
