Let's be honest, when you have a legal system that exists to screw somebody as painfully as possible, the outcomes are inevitable.

I'm not sure he did the right thing but I totally understand his mind.

Now here's a story. I know a guy-- he's a neighbor actually. His ex live-in girlfriend got herself a lawyer somehow and he pursued a lawsuit against him. This lawsuit claimed the she was owed half the value of his food supply business simply because she was his girlfriend for about 10 years. She also wanted his house. At some point this my neighbor called the lawyer and said "if she gets this house I promise you I will take a bulldozer and push it right into the river". The lawyer said he will get in into big trouble but my neighbor returned "I don't care and I promise you I will do it and you won't get dime. Also at some point he was supposed to give her belongings that have been in the house. He chose to make exchange location right in front of this lawyers house, some large furniture a bed was dumped in this lawyers drive way. At this point the lawyer became exasperated and did not pursue the case, He probably was working pro bono

Smart idea IMO especially if you're being wiped out. Convert all your money into crypto, do the demolition, then book the next flight overseas then bounce before she gets home :) By the time she gets home, you'll be on the flight, sipping on your margarita and living your best life 😎
