It's over.

After she moved out in October 2019 and filed for divorce in October 2020, we are officially divorced.

We're splitting time with the kids 50/50 once she gets a house and has the space to house them.

She got half of my retirement.

No child support.

No alimony.

I'm in the marital home she left. Currently waiting to qualify for the refinance of the house my 3 girls and I lived in for the last 6 years without ever taking my ex-wife's salary into consideration.

Cool, bank. Cool.

Right now, I have my kids every single day. It's amazing.

I got to counseling twice a month and work out every weekday during my lunch hour. I'm writing the books I wanted to write and play video games whenever the fence isn't falling down and needs to be replaced. My kids do both with me: fix stuff around the house AND play video games. It's awesome.

My in-laws live about a mile away and are super helpful. My MIL watches the kids after they get out of school until I get home. My ex sees them once a week when she comes over to watch a movie or spend the night at her parents with our kids. Then they come back home. My home. Our home.

My ex-wife got the promotion she always wanted at work. She's a general manager now.

I'm glad she got the job she always felt like I was holding her back from.

Friday was the last day of our marriage.

And now, the next chapter begins.
