Married 9 years to a beautiful woman inside and out with two kids under 6. However, we're out of sync in key areas and I'm thinking about divorce. 1 - I'm interested in frequent sex and a partner that proactively pursues it, and she's rarely interested and I have to beg for it. It's demoralizing and boring. 2 - we have child-free time together because she's so anxious about the kids, and I want time for hobbies and dates without kids. 3 - we get along, but we're not great friends. When we're alone, we don't connect like I have with girlfriends in the past.

I've convinced myself that being a solo parent half the time, while having lots of child-free tine for hobbies and the opportunity to find a better romantic fit, will bring me both better life satisfaction and I'll be a better dad because I'm happier.

I believe, based on my divorced friends, that living under separate roofs is no worse than two unhappy parents living together. We would work well together to make life healthy for our children.
