It's been just under a year since the divorce was finalized (together 20 years).

I'm at a place where I have enough perspective to never want her back.

But my mind can't reconcile the person I knew with the person she is now. I'm no longer destroyed by it, but every morning it still hits like a ton of bricks.

The things she did during the divorce process, I could never do to anyone. And I still have to support her financially - alimony. It's difficult for me to provide like a husband for someone who wants nothing more than my suffering. That's not the person I knew.

I realize the version of her I loved was probably fiction. How do you grieve the loss of someone who never existed? How do you move forward?
