So I made it clear that part of the reason I was divorcing was that she refused to work when she could. Helped make the point to the judge that she needed an imputed income, which goes a long way.

It frankly doesn't matter if it's true unless she has written proof you told her she doesn't have to work. She's probably going to lie, you might as well lie in ways they can't prove.

Assume you will give her 50% of your gross per year in child support and alimony. Alimony ends at most half the marriage term. Child support ends at 18 -21 depending on your state.
Find a sidegig after its all decided. If you add another 10-20% after, thats yours to keep. Make sure you claim all kids as dependents. Dont fight this. Youre likely to pay as per state calculator. Dont escallate either as you are going to pay nearly all her lawyers fees. Settle and fast. You wont win. These lazy stay at home moms will stay at home when the husband can work. Wait until kids age out and party then. Wtf is a male feminist anyways? That clearly has not worked out for you. A stay at home mom is NOT a job. Its a priviledge nowadays. Anyone that disagrees is delusional.

This bis also dependant on the judgebyou get. There are calculations and guidelines, but the judge can do whatever he/she wants.

All forward looking statements and based off my experience in Illinois. This is predictive, not definitive or prescriptive. If oldest is “almost 18”, he will be the time your divorce is finalized. No Child support for him. There will be child support for the other two till they are 18. The amount of child support will be influenced by how much custody you each get. Alimony will suck. Probably 1/3 of the difference in your incomes. If she isn’t working, an income should be imputed. Length you’ll be paying it is based on laws in your state related to length of marriage or until she either remarried or cohabitates with someone else. Good luck! In spite of all this, it’s likely money well spent and your life will likely be better.

My wife refused to work too, it was one of our top issues. Not sure how it works in your state, but in SC, if she continues to leech off you and not work after separation, you have to pay spousal support (alimony) according to her income. Since my ex has no income of her own, I have to pay the max amount allowable from my income. It's absolute robbery and just another part of a broken system.

That being said, I have heard of guys creating a corporation, running all their income and expenses through that, and paying themselves nothing on paper to minimize spousal support. Not sure the legal validity of that but might be worth looking into?

It's all state dependent, as many others have said and there are calculators that help you with that. There are other factors such as her education level, work experience (0 as I understand), etc. I'm in Texas which is a no alimony state (to some degree) but YMMV.

So, maybe move to texas for a year and file :)

I'm in an almost exact situation, she's getting half of the house, $1900 in child support(11 and 14yr Olds) and $2500 in spousal support for 8 yrs.

Some law firms have estimator calculators. You can input your income and kids, etc. It'll spit out an estimate for alimony, child support, or both combined. Quick google search should be sufficient for your locale estimate.
