I worked long hours, I grew my business, I worked weekends, I missed out on time with our son. All in order to be able to provide for our family. I bought rental income properties I started other small businesses. All the blood, sweat, and tears which allowed her to work from home, at her own pace. Go out with friends in the middle of the day, decide what she’s going to do, and when she is going to do it. After 15 years she can no longer be my wife. I have to many toxic traits and I’m not the man she can be with anymore, and to be honest, I think we have become too toxic for each other. Two therapist later and things still kept rolling down hill. The separation is for the best but my head is exploding. I’m glad, but I’m sad. It’s taking everything in me to hold it together. I’m due to move out of our large house in a week and into one of our small two bedroom rentals. I’m not even sure where all my personal belongings are going to go. It’s a very blah apartment and I will make it through, but it will be such a dramatic change for our son, he’s 10. My place will never be as cool as home, all his new electronics, new computer will all be at the house. On top of all the emotions that come along with this situation, because I thought I was doing everything right, She is coming for as much as possible, (she’s entitled). Over the last few years we have had many friends and friends of friends get divorced. All these divorces involved the couple having to sell their house and split the profit, if any, move into small apartments, and struggle to survive. Her best friend wants to leave her husband with a passion, she hates the man, but they live in a small apartment, in a house that his family owns, and neither of the make any kind of money… She has no where to go. Out of everyone we know and have known to get divorced, she is the only person who is going to make out due to this, and make out really well. Like not need to change her job for a couple years well. New car, new kitchen well… This is driving me absolutely crazy. My life is being pushed ten years into the past on top of all the changes I am facing while hers is being propelled forward, and all I had to do was not be me, work less, acquire less, provide less. I know, I can make more money, or can I… The more I try to make, the more child support she is going to come for. We agreed to split time 50% with our child which involves much more driving on my end and on the days that he is with me I will be doing drop off and pick up from school, currently I only do drop off and then work late. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to accomplish running a business on 5 hours a day. She already threatened to call OSHA and the licensing board if she finds out our son steps foot on a job site, even for a minute. I’m just frustrated. I’m loosing half or more of everything I worked so hard for, my bills are going to double, but somehow need to pay more and work less. If I was able to do that, I would already be doing it. Ok…. I just had to get this off my chest so I don’t accidentally loose get overly frustrated at the house and have my tone come across a certain way. I can’t handle any more arguing.
