My wife and I have been together for 12 years and married for six with two young kids. We have had our ups and downs over the years but we seem to always pull through. We recently moved closer to our families and to get the kids into better schools. Since the move, we have had more fights than we ever had and she has caused physical damages to our place on two occasions. Police came on one occasion and she was asked to leave. I decided to meet with an attorney after the latest incident to see what options I had and decided not to pull the trigger till after the holidays. We actually had a few good weeks.

Last weekend my wife woke me up because she was in the mood and in less than 24hrs I’m standing on streets with a bag holding a temporary pfa because she was mad about our finances and I left instead of arguing with her. Two days later I get served a 10 day order and then got served divorce papers on my birthday. No contact with her or the kids till court, lawyer is hired.

I am struggling without my children. I did everything for them while she claimed to be a SAHM. I can’t sleep much, hardly eat, and I’m just emotionally spent. The kids have reached out to me and they are devastated. The waiting till court is crushing me.
