Normally this should be a relatively simple division without kids. For this level of effort for a short marriage, there must be some significant assets.

Divorce is war. Take no prisoners. It’s a business transaction. She is not your friend she’s your damn enemy. Leave the emotion out of it you are suing your soon to be ex wife. End it as fast as possible because if you don’t you’ll be stuck in the court system forever.

Worst is she can definitely misconstrue the assets, claim to be unable to work, and ask for alimony. Resulting in keeping hidden assets, obtaining ongoing money from you, and making you miserable for more years after definitely a rough situation to be in, but don’t give up! Consider a different attorney. Document every asset you can now, and try to find paper trails of other assets, assuming they have significant value.

The Judge will most likely divide everything 50/50. A case where it is just financial are the easiest to resolve unless your wife gets unethical attorneys who tell her lies and spin her up so they can make tens of thousands of dollars before the case gets resolved like how you thought it would at the beginning.
