Contact your lawyer ASAP about harassment by your stbxw. This crosses a line and her behavior may escalate as the divorce proceedings continue.

Your lawyer telling her / her lawyer to cease and desist with the harassment or face the legal (and maybe criminal?) consequences of divorce harassment (look that up) may be what she needs.

You can also inform your boss that you are experiencing harassment from your stbwx .

Remind her that if she causes you to lose your income, not only will you be less likely to pay her alimony, but if she also works and then consequently has a higher income than you, she could wind up paying you alimony. Even though you were the one that cheated.

It is to her advantage to support your career and therefore income development.

Yeah she is kind of stupid to do that. I get her being upset but your getting divorced and will have to pay her alimony. Move on already

So I'd talk to a lawyer first, this is harassment, especially if this could cause a issue at work. Whether it's with a project or a possible future promotion, your boss more then likely was told by your ex that you cheated on her and can't be trusted. She has essentially endangered your livelihood.

I'm not sure if you should talk to your boss. It depends on your situation/relationship with them. The reality here is you did cheat on your ex, thus you've to an extant shown you have made a (possibly negative) choice in your life. The way to spin this is, that ( a if you brought it up to your SO right after it happened) and she didn't want to work on it. So your divorcing. Be like hey I messed up, I learned from a mistake and I'm taking responsibility for it. This is a personal matter, not a business matter, and it should stay as much. If anything I'd try and keep it short to the point and be like my personal life doesn't affect my work, if you have questions please let me know. And mention that your stbx shouldn't have contacted you, and I hope it won't affect our work relationship.

The other side of this, is to not say anything. If an issue comes up you can address it to HR. Yes a promotion could be given to someone else, reality here is, their isn't alot you can do about it.

I did have a gf do this kind of stuff, when I was just starting off. I was good friends with my boss, and she knew my exgf was a bit of a nut. So it wasn't an issue.

Men should never feel guilty about cheating, specially if they are not getting their physical needs fulfilled through marriage. Its a result of liberal brainwashing that you are made to feel guilty. My suggestion to you is go ahead and quit your job if it gets uncomfortable, then as someone suggested ask for alimony

We as guys sometimes play the appeasing role and try to calm things down so eventually they will leave us be. Women on the other hand (not all of them) are on the attack in every which way.

If I was you I would get a restraining order and get a good attorney so she would also get really nothing in the divorce
