Got divorced in September of last year but had been going through the process since April of last year. Since September, I had started dating someone but that ended in December because we just weren’t compatible. I didnt mean to but I started dating someone in January and its been going good except I keep having issues with trust.

My ex cheated on me before marriage then most likely near the end. Didnt go searching for it because I didn’t want to break.

Anyway, with this new girl, I feel like things are going good but one incident made me start thinking she could cheat.

We went to my buddys house for superbowl n I saw her drinking a bunch of shots with my buddy n his friend. I asked her about why she drank so much when we were leaving, she was stumbling drunk at this point, and she said “well the cute guy didnt drink so I took another shot so he could too” I was like “what?” She said she doesn’t remember saying that nor sayin that to me n does remember the guy n he wasnt cute to her at all. So since then I became extremely cautious, confused, and jealous with things she does. And there are times where I’m ok with it and I can talk myself out of the “nonsense thoughts” I have but sometimes I get so deep into thoughts n “what ifs” that I lose my mind.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Please note that I have asked to see her phone n socials and have never seen anything suspicious. She has gotten upset with me that I even question her and I could definitely lose her because of my insecurities but I’m honestly at a loss on how to turn off my brain
