A mis-leading headline as few states are actually doing anything but wow, this post / story has a little bit of everything. Including a pretty happy ending for shared parenting. It has all the players: A judge and the viewpoint from a judge, the father who goes through the battles when trying to just be a father, the mother who just doesn't understand why a father should want to be a father (fortunately, she comes around) who uses the tricks mothers use in custody cases and the mother's family (her sister and mother- hmmm) who are uneasy with a dad being a dad 50% of the time. It has the child psych who 'often' sees children of divorce and feels "over burdening the child for the sake of their parents having equal access is irrational,” without a single thought to how children lack development and sites no studies in her 'expert experience'.

It frames the situation of states depriving children of their parents and forcing conflict pretty well. While not complete I think the author is genuine and makes many great points. It gives the statistics of lowered 'domestic violence' charges in family court when the KY legislation was enacted. And so much more.
