Guess this is just more of a rant, if I'm honest. Wife and I have been separated since around September, she's moved in with her mother. She called me upset yesterday that we only had ~$600 in our account after I got paid, and we'll be late on my sons tuition because of that.

Somehow that turned in to an argument (no surprise) but I guess I've become the enemy at some point even though all I feel I've done is try to move forward and work on things alongside her. I dangle money over her head even though I continue to pay for her 50k vehicle, she's always got the newest pixel phone/earbuds, has maxed out a credit card she's authorized on, blew through an 8k bonus I got last year. Nevermind I'm driving a now 17 year old truck and put off investing in all my hobbies.

I'm also dangling divorce papers over her head apparently, which isn't the case. Several months back we sat down and agreed on what she wanted IF we were going to divorce, didn't really fight her. She can have the dogs, furniture, outdoor stuff, I don't care. I just want 50/50 custody. Anyhow, I let her know last week that the papers were drawn up (I haven't looked at them), but told her I put the lawyers on hold until we make a decision together on reconciling or divorce. But she insists on seeing them because I paid for them. Honestly, I'm not worried about the cost of having someone draw up a draft of papers in the long run, but moreso the direction my life will traverse based on those papers. If she'd even put 2% into our marriage, I'd happily tell the lawyer to piss off and thank them for their time, but the only reason I had them drafted is because it doesn't feel like she is putting anything into the marriage.

I'm just tired, and I want to see my daughter. But I guess today I'll just hang out and play the steamdeck with little man.

How are things going for y'all?
