In two weeks time if all goes to plan I (40M) should be finally getting away from the STBX (37F). It’s been a shit ride. I’m moving out of my beautiful big house, leaving my two young kids, and getting a shit box rental 5 mins up the road that costs more a week rent than my weekly mortgage repayment. I’m doing this for a better life for my kids and hopefully a better life for me.

I will be moving with practically nothing. No furniture, white goods, tv, cups, none of that shit. From those who have gone through this first hand, what did you do here, did you buy nice things with the plan to keep it post property settlement or just cheap stuff? Are the things I buy separated to get me through, like beds for the kids, a washer and dryer, all that shit, still classed in the bucket of things to be mostly going to the STBX?
