Saw this quote today, and thought I’d share it with the group.

While all of our situations our specific and unique, we’re all in the same struggle of sorts. More than money, kids, affair partners, toxic friends, ultra-feminism, gaslighting, and opportunity cost, it’s the ex’s betrayal of trust / wedding vows that hurts the most.

Many men on here were probably fine not even getting married and just cohabitating. It’s often the ex that needed to seal the relationship with a government contract and expensive ceremony so she could have “status” among her social circle. Nowadays, status for many doesn’t come from being a dedicated wife or mother who minimized Facebook screen time. It comes from being a queen celebrating her independence to get views on tiktok. No need to mention that alimony and a second mortgage on the house are finding this new mid-life wannabe influencer lifestyle.

Stay strong you all. Last week was a tough one for me, but back in the gym, and planning to buy a new mountain bike this week (without having to ask permission).
