So we've been separated roughly a month. We have one child, a 4-year old son. I've been his primary caretaker for the last 18 months or so due to my easier work-from-home job and my wife's job not having that option. When she started trying to have him come stay with her he fought and cried every time. When she picks him up from school he says things like "I don't have a mom" or along those lines. When she comes over he doesn't want to associate with her.

I haven't said or done anything to encourage this behavior, in fact I've tried to fight it because I don't want him to hate his mom. But he seems to just feel that way on his own.

Has anyone else experienced this with the kids? I genuinely want them to have a good relationship and I don't understand where this is coming from.
